Not a good idea. You would want to run it in conduit or run a line that is designed to be buried. Bury it below the frost line depending on where you live.

You can't clone auto-flowers (or at least the article they're impractical to clone) but you can propagate them - create seeds that is. I also know you can purchase feminized seeds. Question: Can the average grower create feminized seeds? How do you go about it?

Isn't it all about the actual wattage and utilization? I like the idea from the previous post of comparing 150W to 250W HPS vs CFL - exact same set up and plants with different lights. You would also want to do it in two separate closets, like a pre-made 3'x3' for each. Maybe Mythbusters...
