Fair enough! Have you ever done a side by side with the same genetics? IME the only time that holds true is if the rootbase wasn't well established enough for the upsize or the new large pot was oversaturated. It seems for me that by the time they are ready to transplant the second time, the...

Nice, those tall ones work pretty well to start in. I used them before I compared them to 1 gals. I stuck with 1 gal through the years and find they are big enough to have an established rootbase that can handle any upsize. I've found IME the least transplants the better. From 1 gal straight to...

Thank you! I know right, these know-it-all's seem to feel like its directed at them LOL I broke it down so a first timer could read this and know exactly what to do to get great results. I'm sure most of these people saying "duh put seed in soil" had issues/experiments with germination at one...

Do you use plugs or solo cups to start? Or from one to the other? If using solo cups I hope you use the tall ones. Not sure if you have yet, but I encourage a side by side of your usual start size and something bigger/deeper such as a 1 gal pot. The seedling's taproot is obstructed in anything...

That's what I like to hear! Experimenting is how we all learn. Let us know how it goes If you are worried about wasted space/resources and are unsure if your beans are viable, you can always leave them in the water until you see the tail peaking out. The seeds remaining are usually duds :blsmoke:

That's basically what I do, but full saturation can be too much sometimes depending on temps/pot size/genetics

    Best Germination Method

Sounds like an extra step/product to me! My experience with rooters(or any small pot) is stunted seedlings. Have you ever done a side by side with say a 1 gallon? I encourage it, let the seeds touch water at the same time :blsmoke:

How long do these have ya think?

They should all finish before the end of October. Watch for the buds to swell and look "frostier" as they do when all of the trichomes are milky :blsmoke:

How long do these have ya think?

Some strains finish in 6-8 weeks LOL

Clawing leaves down and some up

Nitrogen toxicity and possible moisture stress. Too much nute can burn root hairs causing both. Cut back on the strength/frequency of feedings and add some more airflow if you don't have much :blsmoke:

LOL a shot glass can actually help speed things up and ensure the seed is fully saturated without oversaturating your medium, but the paper towel method is one of the most popular misguided practices taught Along with flushing and defoliation :blsmoke:

Should I start the flush yet?

Leach regularly to avoid salt build up. Pre harvest flushing is bro science The plants naturally use less food at these later stages of flowering, so reducing feedings is a good idea regardless if you flush or not to avoid toxicities.

Seed to soil is the way to go. The presoak just speeds things up, ensures the seeds start the process, and I find the seeds all pop soil more uniformly or around the same time. I dont think you'll go back after you start in those taller pots! Since I compared myself many years ago, I've always...

I can't figure out what's missing - the leaves started to change color

You should be good man! No need to worry, taking everything into consideration I'd definitely say its genetics. I wouldn't change a thing :blsmoke:

    Pot Size To Yield Ratio

Hey man the way I see it is 670g without an electric bill counts as a win in my books! And you could always do both LOL She started in May so she'll go about the same time :blsmoke:

    Pot Size To Yield Ratio

A lot of what you hear is just hype when it comes to this plant. I'd say your results speak for themselves! I bet most of the naysayers couldn't even match your yield :blsmoke:

    Pot Size To Yield Ratio

I do feel pot size is a limiting factor, but only to an extent, especially with root pruning pots. Way too many factors to put an "average" weight per pot size IMO. Veg time and genetics would play the largest roles, assuming there was adequate lighting/environment. Pot size would only become...

    Pot Size To Yield Ratio

Good job man! First year growing, doing better than most I'd say! LOL Which auto strains were you running, and from which seed bank? If you dont mind me asking! I've never ran any autos myself, but that's pretty impressive. Might have to try a few on the side for an early harvest next year...
