Hi mate plants look ok. 32 days after 12/12 flip. I did have fairly big lockout and ph issues early flower but now I’m chasing ph every day which i will continue to do if i have to but it going to cost a fortune in top ups and res changes:wall::lol:

Practically the same, slight rise by 0.1-.2 but give to plants it drops?? Wondering if any of the stuff already in the tap water is causing lockouts og other nutes? But I never seem to be able to keep it stable regardless of how many correct protocols I follow :wall:

I normally set ph to 5.9 for reference then let let for 24hrs

Hi mate yea I gathered from that question he meant tap Water before nute then solution after nutes before phing??

Tap Ph is normally 7.4ish maybe a little higher and probably somewhere similar after adding nutes. I know for sure the base feed is ph neutral and I believe top booster and super pk are slightly higher than 7 but when everything’s in it’s probably still between 7.2-7.6

So i live in a hard water area and grow in dwc and have always had PH issues since i can remember! here’s a breakdown of whats in my water, doesn’t mean too much to me as to whether or it’s usable or I’m pretty much wasting my time chasing PH. ec reads 0.5 on truncheon. Thanks peeps

Tbh honest mate I didn’t have any major intentions of buying any lol. Watched a YouTube video of a grow with comparable yields but much more frost and density so got chatting with the guy in the shop and after him saying i could run them with the ballasts i have I thought why not give it a try

Yea i have recently spent a fair amount upgrading my room with new exhaust fans, the g.a.s enviro controller and thought these would be a nice addition as i have heard that the majority say bud quality is definitely better from CMHs and I’d like to see for myself. Thanks for the info though...

I would be tempted now i have the bulbs to hold on to them and one day soon hopefully get hold of the right ballasts and do a run with them, it would be in a 9x5 with 2x600w cmh and one 600w hps in the centre. Be interested to see what that would produce like compare to 3x hps

Ok in this case i have been misinformed by the grow shop owner as i was aware they required different ballasts as i told him i was running hps digital ballasts and he was sure they would work no problem. So is this the problem then?

Hi mate, I’m using digital ballasts and I’m aware CMHs are usually only for magnetics but these say on the box made for either digital or magnetic. Thanks for the quick response :blsmoke:

Hi mate, thanks for the reply, its an app called photone. I understand its not ideal but there are YouTube videos testing the app and it was always within a couple of umols compared to a proper meter.
