Well I called a lawyer and they advised me to call them when/if I get the summons in the mail. The lawyer said it would be unlikely for me to not get this within a week or so. This is different than what you guys have been saying. I would have much rather received the ticket at the scene...

Thanks for responding. At the scene the officer said it would be 6-800 dollar fines. I'm in school so I"ll definitely no be able to afford a lawyer, but I am consulting one today. I really hope this is not going to affect financial aid or be view able by employers.
