hey i'm starting a dwc grow haven't tried it before but i was wondering if you can just place the germinated seed in the hydroton and spray it with water? some people say to use rockwool but i was wondering if it's necessary.. the seed popped a few days ago and the cotyledons are showing.. thanks

i don't necessarily WANT two foot.. the max width of the cab is 29" so theres no way i could pull that off

what kind are you using.. brand ..wattage ? i might go with the 2ft 4 tube and supplement with cfls

will do. i was going to supplement it with cfls too... i can't get away with using HID for this grow so i'm trying to figure the best alternative. EDIT: i suppose you're right i just checked another site that said 24 watt puts out 2,000 lumens.. and the fixture i was looking at had a 12,000...

i believe that says 54? it's hard to read on a few of them

i'm leaning toward the high output that i posted because each bulb is 54 watts and with the size space it's in it'll pretty much shine perfectly down on them

anyone heard of a 2ft t5 fixture that will hold 6 bulbs? i've seen 4 and 8 i'd like to go more than four but eight won't fit..

i've grown with other people but not by myself yet. below is a cabinet/dresser that i have and want to turn into a grow cab.. im gonna use mostly fluorescents but i do have a 70 watt hps (yeah hate on it..) and ideas for reflecting, light placement..anything? i dont have a ruler on me at...

just put velcro on both sides of the drawers and took the arms off of them and bought some 1 1/2 inch weather stripping that i'm gonna put on in a few hours. also got hooks to hang the light but i need to find chain of some kind

don't have wallmart but ill go to a hardware store that sounds like a good idea. i'm thinking of taking the rails off the sides of the drawers because they don't want to slide in and out right without the back or bottom of the drawers in there.. then maybe i could just put some cabinet magnet...

thanks yo. the light leak is mostly around the front face of the cabinet doors because it doesnt seal completely closed.. so i need some kind of flange or something inside to block the light
