This is what a good veg looks like.

The Turface MVP is made of clay but it doesn't hold much moisture. It is more like perlite but I can't stand perlite being in my yard when I put the used mix in the compost pile. The nutrients are amazing and I use them for all kinds of stuff. These plants are about a foot tall and are really...

This is what a good veg looks like.

I use Nectar For the Gods nutrients. They are a nice organic line of nutrients. I use a mix of "Pro Mix" I get by the bale and mix it with coco and a product called "Turface MVP". The Turface is probably the best soil amendment I have ever used and I imagine it would work well to grow in by itself.

This is what a good veg looks like.

This is just for veg growth. They will be put into three gallon containers and moved under two 600w MH lights for two weeks then switched to the flower cycle. These are started from seed so only about half of these will be left under the two 600w lights.

This is what a good veg looks like.

It's time to pot these up into three gallon pots and give them another week or two then switch the lights.

    New crop looking good...

The strain started as a mix between OG Kush thy came from a very good company in Canada bred to an unknown dark purple strain out of California. I have bred it back to itself for 14 generations and selected for compact growth, potency, yield, and good color. I will pollinate a branch from every...

    New crop looking good...

This soil EC probe is probably the most useful tool on the planet for soil or soil-less mixes. Keep the nutrients at the optimal level with no guessing.

    New crop looking good...

50/50 mix of organic potting mix and coco. Then I mix in about 25% of a product called Turface. It is fired clay granules often used for bonsai trees. It is an amazing soil additive.

    Normal internode length? Too compact?

I have had plants where they were stacked so close I had ten or more nodes in less than two inches. I culled those plants because I know they would cause problems. The layers of leaves were touching each other and there were moisture problems.

    Normal internode length? Too compact?

If it looks so good it looks fake I feel confident I must be doing something right.

    Normal internode length? Too compact?

These are under a 400 watt MH that I start the seeds under in a 50 count nursery tray. I pick the best looking 30 out of the 50 because that is what this spot will hold. When it's time to flower I will put them in three gallon square pots, move them under two 600 watt lights for a week, then...

    Normal internode length? Too compact?

Very little stretch at all. If I flower them at 15 inches it is about the 15th-20th node and they will mature around 3ft. I keep them cool, 70 or so, very low humidity, 30-50%, and have had zero fungus issues. I have had parts of the flower die off due to it choking itself out. But that has...

    Normal internode length? Too compact?

These plants were grown from seed and started about a month ago. They are 14th generation seeds from breeding back the same strain to themselves and picking the best plant to keep the seeds from. I have been selecting for compact growth, potency, and full dense flowers with minimal stretching...

30 new plants in veg mode...

I started 50 seeds about a month ago and picked 30 to fill up my veg spot. The temps have been pretty low so they aren't growing very fast. I am using all organic nutrients in a soil/soilless mix. The nutrients were a little stronger than I expected, little bit of leaf curl, but not too bad. 400...
