2.7 grams per watt Leds, truth or hype?

The term I would use to describe my plants under LED would be explosive growth. This wasn’t the case at first, but after I figured out the quirks of growing with LED it was game on. I’m only 13 days into 12/12 so I can’t really forecast a weight estimate yet, but if the grow goes the way I want...

    Topping my plant

You trimmed perfectly imo, great work! If the buds are feeling crunchy to the touch, I’d cut them off the branches and place them into paper bags. I would leave them in the bags about 24 hours, then test the smoke. If it busts up and smokes clean, get the flower into jars. Open a few hours...

Cut them down. If it’ll be raining the entire week your buds are going to rot. Your flowers look ripe and ready for the picking!

    Phenohunting or multiple strains ?

Packs can get expensive. Do your research, buy packs of different strains from various breeders if you’re able. Once you find something you like, buy it again to see if you can find a better pheno in another pack.

Is she flowering? Or just stress/sign of sex?

This plant is too “happy” to be root bound. The ones with tight and dying root systems show all sorts problems like saggy leaves, discolouration between veins, yellow leaves falling off towards the bottom of the plant... as others mentioned, bag seed can be unpredictable. This could easily be a...

    Topping my plant

Ripening is just the finishing stage, mostly where the flowers put on excess weight and stink more than you thought possible. And yes, you’re going to see a lot of bulk between now and Easter :)

any pro mix users out there?

I was going to mention, the PH is 7.5 in my tap water, I also use HP with no PH adjustment. The plants absolutely love everything about the medium, especially since I add about 25L - 35L of perlite to the mix

I’m all about the GH Flora Nova series. Very easy, 1 part for veg feeding and 1 part bloom feeding.

    Topping my plant

That’s totally fine, just make sure you have a fan going (not directly on the materials) so the air won’t become stagnant. You probably don’t need the hydrometer if the stem snaps when you bend it :)

    Topping my plant

No worries. You should try to dry your herb in a dark place with air circulation. You can place your hydrometer in the room close to the drying plant material. Use paper bags for nugs that fall off the branch. You don’t really need the hydrometer if you’re testing the branches by snapping, but...

    Topping my plant

I personally like to loosely trim and hang branches. I often don’t go beyond a loose trim. The worst thing you can do is spend all that time growing flowers, just to end up trimming them too close imo.

You can monitor RH with a hydrometer, you can find these at the hardware store. They’re usually a thermometer / hydrometer combo, found at the hardware store for about $10-$20

    Topping my plant

Please don’t try snapping branches on your plant! I’m talking about when your branches are drying out (after you harvest), you can test to see if they snap. If they snap, your weed is ready to smoke. Your plant looks like a hybrid, but I really can’t tell. I prefer indica and indica hybrid...
