I might be an outlier but my experience with Dr. Zymes (citric based) was not good. It lowered the leaf surface pH to a place where mold thrived. Now I go the other direction, and spray things with high pH like potassium silicate.

I get seedling mix fully saturated, use a pencil to make a 1/4 inch hole, plop in the bean, cover. I'll give a little more water on day 3 and the beans always pop on day 4 or 5. Then I don't water for a week.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. A quick search shows Gelato has GSC as a parent. I found out this year GSC crosses are great in humidity.

Northern California along the coast has been very foggy. 90+% humidity every night, I've been battling mold all year.

Agreed, but the step before all of that is strain selection. I learned the hard way this year.

I agree but it looks like the OP has two small plants. It's not like he has pounds to trim. Might as well give it some TLC to make sure it doesn't rot while drying. Chuck em in a h202 bath, watch the mold fizzle and then get a direct fan on them for a few hrs. Resume the normal dry / cure...
