    DIY with Quantum Boards

In six months you can find it for sale at a police auction. Politics is about money.

2nd: small tent, soil, Quantum Boards +blue +UV

After 18 days of seedling stage, I'm seeing four nodes and what appears to be the first set of true fan leaves. Today is... Jun30 Day1 VEG Inter-nodal spacing: I've got it now, looks good but we're ramping up the lighting. The light was lowered to 30" on Day12 SEED, 280umoles. Then five days...

How much is too much light?

Start low, say 600- and work your way up (or down!) from there. Monitor what the plant is telling you and adjust.

    Looks expensive as well.

Seedling, NO internodal spacing, too much blue?

No, I place the seed about 1/4" deep. Maybe my rapid rooter is a different brand... My hydro store gave me a handfull of them so I don't have any packaging. I make a hole with a pen, and cover the seed with some of the material removed.

Thanks diggs! I had a stroke of luck and HLG restocked the QB11 reds.

Jun19 Day11 SEED Leaves are looking better. However I've got NO internodal spacing with the third set coming in. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Also, my spectral output with the 288 and blues in the above chart was incorrect- I had the two T5 lamps turned on. They are not even...

Seedling, NO internodal spacing, too much blue?

I don't know if this is a problem yet, and it's probably too early to make changes- but I'd like some advice on my seedling. There seems to be no internodal spacing between leaves so far. I'm concerned that I have too much blue spectrum, should I be? That's the third set of leaves after the...

Hairs turned brown after Foliar Spray

You should never spray with the lights on. In nature it only rains at night.

Jun13: Day5 SEED Well it looks like the light is a bit much at this stage. The cotyledons are curled under and the edges of the first set of true leaves are as well. I raised the fixture to 36" height, which provides 220 umoles. Will adjust as needed over the next few days.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Well it doesn't look like a manufacture's defect so I don't know why the receipt would matter at this point. Yes, try and fix it or find someone local who can. Anyplace that deals with soldering components should be able to handle this with ease. I'd go to a cell phone repair shop as my first...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Here's an update on my build so far. Slate2 with a pair of QB288v2 another Slate2 cut in half lenghwise, I designed and built brackets to mount them at about a twenty degree angle, and on either side a flower initiator board also angled in. I'm running the lamps now, left space for the reds...

2nd: small tent, soil, Quantum Boards +blue +UV

I have a Sekonic C-700R-U light meter. Here is the spectral output of my two QB288v2 And this is with the added blue. Odd how there's now a spike at 550nm and 600nm. I don't understand that. I wonder if I had the T5 6500k bulbs turned on for this test? I'll have to test again to be sure...

2nd: small tent, soil, Quantum Boards +blue +UV

Here's more about my light. I think it's pretty awesome! I have a pair of QB288s mounted to a slate2 heatsink. I got another slate2 and cut in in half lengthwise, and designed and built brackets to mount the two halves on either side of the 288s at about a twenty degree angle. The halve each...

My second grow, discussion welcomed. Environment: Indoor, Gorilla 2x2.5 Lights: 2xQB288v2, with supplemental blue via a pair of QB11 and UV using two T5 reptile lamps. Medium: FoxFarms Ocean Forest, perlite, and dolomite lime will be added at transplant. Fabric pots. Nutes: sticking with...

Curing: When do I stop opening the jars?

Thanks for the input everyone! It's been smelling very nice for some time now, and the humidity levels no longer rise when the lids remain closed. I've added a Bodeva 62% and tucked it away for weekly inspection before moving to long term storage. I still haven't sampled it yet though. I don't...

Curing: When do I stop opening the jars?

I'm confused about the curing process (Mason Jars) once the humidity level seems to have stabilized. My jars are 77F 60%RH, for the second day now. Do I continue to open daily for air exchange?

    Flowering with quantum boards

I just finished my first run, ran my 2x288v2 at 18” from canopy. I dimmed them to 150W to maintain about 450umoles. If you have a dimmable ballast run less wattage for higher efficiency while maintaining desired output. It doesn’t make sense to crank up the lamp at a higher altitude only to get...

    UV Suppliment Lighting

Like a lot of the suggestions on this forum, you can grow great Cannabis without any of them. Certainly this is seriously overkill for my 2x2.5 tent, but if you want to really want to know what the output of your lamp is and tune the spectrum you're going to need to be able to measure. I'm...
