    UV Suppliment Lighting

Yeah I don't know what the L models are, I have the C. It shows a graphical representation of the spectal output of a light source. Sorry for the mobile link, and US at that but you get the idea. http://m.sekonic.com/united-states/products/colormeters/c-700r-u.aspx There's also the Asensetek...

If you're concerned about spectrum you should also consider a spectrometer in addition to a PAR meter. I just picked up a Sekonic c-700r-u. Already have an Apogee MQ-500, interested in getting a UV meter one day as well.

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

When I chopped I removed most of the large fan leaves, but some remained. I expected it would be ok hanging for five to seven days, but last night when I checked the tent had a hay smell. The buds felt dry to the touch but the stems were still bendy with no snapping. I performed my trim and...

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

Thanks. I love spreadsheets! You should see my budget... I've been using the same one sine August of 2004. Back when I carried revolving debt I'd enter a value of how much money I'd allocate to debt reduction for a particular month and the formulas would calculate which credit card would get...

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

Day 62F Harvest Day! Tricomes became mostly cloudy, lots of amber.

Yes, you're right. I was thinking flowering initiator, 730nm after lights out (5mins). I also learned that I was calling that "Emerson Effect", which is something completely different.

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

I got my loupe today. My suggestion to "newbies" (such as myself) is to not wait until harvest to get a loupe. I've never seen the tricomes at 60X and I don't have much to compare them to. My conclusion is that the tricomes on the largest buds at the center of the lamp are partly cloudy and...

    UV Suppliment Lighting

I don't understand what the benefit would be to run the UV lamps during Emerson Effect at lights out... The Emerson Effect is something the plant has naturally experienced and as such as developed a response to the stimuli. In nature once the sun fades there is no further UV. To introduce it in...

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

Lol that's ok. I'm already stressing over what I have. Looking forward to closing this run and learning the harvest/dry/cure/store process so I can start the next. I'm going to drop another seed of the same strain to see the difference in the grow.

That doesn't help with the cat problem though!

What to say in the Garden store

Definitely tomatoes. I'd consider trying another source as well. My local hydo store doesn't ask. The other customers I've spoken to at the store also don't ask. It's like an unwritten code that everyone assumes we're all after the same crop.

    UV Suppliment Lighting

I'm looking to focus around deep red (660nm) with some red (630) and a couple of far reds (730). But if HLG's redesign of the QB11 was just 660 like the original I'd probably just buy it and be done. From what I've seen the biggest difference between our white light LEDs and halides is the...

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

Update on my garden, the leaves are turning color now. She's due for watering today, and I decided not to feed. My loupe is in route. I took a bunch of pictures. I'm excited to be this close to harvest! The past few weeks have been a bit boring just maintaining the environment. During veg it...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

They'll be on their own timer, after acclimation they'll be on for a couple of hours at the middle of the light cycle. I also plan on wiring a switch between the timer and UV to turn off the lamps when I'm in the garden. Probably not needed since their day cycle is my night.

Only the blues came in stock, that's when I got mine. No big deal really, I'm wasn't planning on pushing the reds much until flower.

They are the Arcadia D3 Desert 12%. I know you like the Solorcures more but I think these can be a bit closer to the leaf surface so they fit my needs better.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Been working on a fixture for my next grow, to add T5 UV and some blue, red, and far red (Emerson Effect). I have 2XQuantum288s on a Slate 2, got another Slate 2 and cut in in half to mount on either side at a slight angle. I designed the brackets to use the far red strips on either end, also...
