Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

Wait, you have three separate growing areas, what is in the 2X3 tent pulling 135W? My two quantums are dimmed to 150W actual draw. I wonder if I'm running a bit too high... Too bad we can't talk the same language as far as PAR umoles etc. I wish the Apogee were cheap enough that everyone had...

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

I can't achieve 72dF without supplemental cooling. We don't even keep it that cool in the house! I've read so much around here about humidity, especially in flower. I figured I'd keep it controlled as much as I could for this grow and if it got out of hand get a dehumidifier. Supplemental...

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

I've got them at 79F, RH about 58%. I really thought I'd see more praying from the leaves than I have. I don't know if this means the intensity is too high, but it's only 550-600 umoles at canopy level. During the stretch in early flower I didn't raise the lamp and there was some damage due to...

    My first Root is Down

Thank you. I just ordered a loupe, should be here in a few days. I'm already planning my second grow. Lots of lessons learned on this one and I'm looking forward to implementing various improvements. Also, am going to tweak the light spectrum- adding some blue, and supplementing UV,a a...

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

Sounds like I'm too close to the end to make any improvements. I'll use the experience for my second grow for sure. I'm going to grow the same strain once this one is jarred.

Those are Secret Jardin Monkey Fans https://www.secretjardin.com/catalogue/ventilation/monkey-fan/monkey-fan-16w/bl,product,117,0 Got them from the local hydro store, The way they clip to the tent pole is very handy. I wish I had the oscillating version.

Tail of the Fox? Check in with my grow. foxtailing, nutrient questions

This is my first grow- Gorilla 2.5X2X7' 2X Quantum Board 288v2 running at 150W 550-600 umoles at canopy, 18" high 79F 58RH FFOF soil, FoxFarms Trio Day 54F (63 since flip) seed popped Jan 3rd Caramel Kush by 00 Seeds, heavy Indica Is this foxtailing? My untrained eye says yes. Admittedly, I was...

Drawback of this carbon filter setup

This setup makes it difficult to keep tent temperature in check. Ideally you should avoid exhausting hot air back into the same room as the intake. Moving air is not just for odors.

How long was your daily photoperiod? I don't plan on running mine the entire light cycle, just two hours or so at the middle to simulate when the sun is directly overhead. UV is damaging, the idea is to stimulate the plant to protect itself. Those effects may not be just higher THC levels, but...

Wow. You really missed the point of the whole post. Which is a different thread by the way. We're in this one to discuss UV lighting, it's effect on growing cannabis, hardware and build discussion. But reading doesn't seem to be your strong point.

We should probably keep the HLG vs Agromax discussion in the other thread, but don't forget it costs a whole bunch less to copy a competitor's design than to innovate the marketplace like HLG has done. Do you really expect for a company to not maximize profit margins to recoup costs incurred to...

    Agromax RAW 550

It's not scummy to charge less, what's scummy is making a direct copy of someone else's product and slapping your name on it.

    Agromax RAW 550

I’m not on the market for anything in this category, but just discovered the Agromax “RAW 550” fixture. It’s a direct clone of HLG’s 550- same layout, LEDs, bigger power supply maybe but otherwise almost a direct clone for $100 bucks less. I understand copying some aspects of a competitor...
