    Minisplit install

Doing foundation ATM. Putting unit 12" above grade.... Btw the off brand shit was only $2400 for everything. I know two people with them and they love them. They've lasted 3-4 years already for a friend of mine.... So maybe I'm just an off brand type of dude, but I produce boutique grade smoke...

    Minisplit install

There's an auto defrost feature for the outside unit. The thermostat will turn on the crank case heater to my understanding. I'm thinking I'm going to just put them up on cinder blocks. A radiant heated floor/foundation is another idea also. Live n learn....

    Minisplit install

I just ordered 4 ton kilmaire minisplits. They come precharged, prevacuumed and preflared. They have heat pumps, crank case heaters and another feature that I forgot that helps to operate in winter. The question i have is in regards to snow in the winter season. These units are meant to be...

    Minisplit outside in Michigan winters

I did consider that. I was just thinking of getting for 12 inch fans And filters and doing two in, two out. Hydrocrunch has 1700cfm for $100. And I can get 12" tall filters for $1000 delivered. So it's $1400 but I'll save on a split unit and...... If I exchange the air back and forth in the...

    Minisplit outside in Michigan winters

It has a crank case heater inside it and auto defrost settings so I'm good. I'm just going to get 4 of them for now. See how it goes. Probably end up needing more eventually.

    Minisplit outside in Michigan winters

I have natural gas and a furnace but I didn't wanna have to run the ducting, then deal with odor control just to have them fight each other. Although it would be more efficient To mount the furnace thermostat in the room and so on, my experience tells me that odor controls worse enemy is a...

    Minisplit outside in Michigan winters

Well the problem is the unit needs to produce Heat in order to produce cool air. So if it's unable to get hot it cannot get cold. I'm going to be calling an HVAC tech. I think I just might put them in a $800 shed from Lowe's. One with two windows and large fans. That way the units kept out of...

    Taxes and writeoffs

I mean I keep my co2 right at 1500, day temps 80, night 70, my top of canopy that is, my room temps a little lower, about 76/77. Humidity I keep higher in veg lower towards the end of flower. What else can I do? Sacrifice strains to the gpw God's? Lol I'm think that book 3 a light was...

    Minisplit outside in Michigan winters

I'm installing 4 split systems. Two 4 tons with heat pumps and 2 regular 5 tons totalling 18 tons. I'll be running 48 lights. Anyways, I've had large window ACs fail on me during winter as the compressor is cold I believe. Lost a crop before. Can't happen again. So I heard theres a special...

    Taxes and writeoffs

I don't think people can really get 3 a light, unless it's a crazy 14 or 16 week strain... Thoughts? Also next year I'm doing mendo style trees in several hundred gallon pots. We'll see tho. I got a fence around the building n alot of land. Maybe I'll just do a few hundred of those lol....

    Taxes and writeoffs

Got putting up 48 lights and 18 tons of Ac. Two rooms. Each with a 4 & 5 ton split. Had to do it this way so I could get a heat pump in each room. The units I went with only had heat pumps on the 4 ton models. But it'll be enough ac for my area. I'll post some pics once we fill the room.

    Taxes and writeoffs

Yeah that's how it works. I was just shocked to learn the hard way. But I'm confident it'll be ok. I average 1.75 a light atm. But regardless it's worth the piece of mind going legit. Plus it's not like I worked hard for my savings, my girls did lol...

    Taxes and writeoffs

So I've taken my hobby and life savings and created a startup business/production facility. What they didn't tell me was I cannot write anything off. No electric, equipment, bulbs, nutes, NOTHING!!? So this means for instance. Say I make $100, I have to give the state $40 first. Then out of my...

How to Secretly Run Ductless A/C at Home?

Two options my friend. Place outside in ideal location with shrubs and make it not look suspicious. Or Build a room for them. Use 2" insulation boards and vent out chimney. Noise is the easy issue to solve, just like smell. If done RIGHT no worries. Just depends on your setup and...

How to Secretly Run Ductless A/C at Home?

Medicrropper put about 15-20 tons in his facility. He used (2) 12" vortex fans I think. That's what gave me the idea. But I wouldn't have done it unless my setup was exactly like it is.

How to Secretly Run Ductless A/C at Home?

Outside is the way to go obviously. But I've had AC units not work in the extreme cold of winter up north. Anyone else?
