Its really how well cooked it is. You can go into the amended soil right away. It is very easy however to guarantee a good start with a lightly amended soil or a bagged option.

Assuming it is grown well, it really is strain dependent. Some are ready as soon as they dry, but ime most are best with at least 10 days of curing. So 2 to 3 weeks minimum usually including drying time. The ride can be a bit wild and uneven before curing, and some of us love that weird wild...
