    Alternative method of flushing plants

Reminds me of @RM3's trick, "girdling". Basically the idea was to ring the main stalk with a razor just enough to stifle nutrient uptake but not sever the ability to get water. Seemed hella risky, so I've never tried it.... This seems a simpler option.

Will short fat plants still produce decent yields?

A plant that's naturally short isn't exactly the same as a short plant that didn't get to grow out fully. You'll get weight, but it is what it is.

I have to try this with my expended soup bones.

    Simple organic soil?

The thing is, if I run it through a worm bin, it goes from the party of the list that contains Coco and peat and enters the castings zone... ( I don't have worms anyway, I'm interested in collecting local worms and haven't found epigeic worms yet... I might just break down and buy a pound, I'm...

    Simple organic soil?

But can you sub in composted steer manure? Less than ideal, certainly, but I have some storebought bags laying around. I've just always been concerned that it just isn't composted enough.

Big question: Why are outdoor flowers devalued?

People do indoors here because the power is the cheapest in the state... It's always struck me as off that folks are willing to pay to produce inferior light when the sun is just outside here, but price point is King....

Big question: Why are outdoor flowers devalued?

I live in the Triangle, so Mother Nature dialed in my environment for me. I have it way easier outdoors than just about anywhere, so I really don't deserve that much credit.

Big question: Why are outdoor flowers devalued?

Nothing beyond experience and intuition. Trichs that get the most full sun amber earlier, in my experience. UV is damaging to living tissue, and trichs take that hit; that's the conventional wisdom of my area. Not to say there aren't other repair systems in play, of course, making the damage...

    Hurricane

Give me two pieces of concrete reinforcement mesh 10'x5', 16 bars of 3/4" rebar, 8' long, 100' 1/4" steel cable, and a whole roll of trellis netting. Then we might have a chance. But it'll be the most fortified, obvious thing ever.bongsmilie Never mind the cost.

    My fist grow

I can eyeball Amber trichs, but without a scope, I have a hard time reading clear trichs. Even at 30x I have a hard time spotting them.

Happy Frog vs Ocean Forest for germinated seeds

I hear ffof is "too hot", but I've never had a problem. OF sticks it out longer, but hasn't been hot enough to burn my shit. Been using both this year, leftover OF from last year (unused) and fresh HF.

    Mulch indoors anyone?

I used rice straw indoors and caught a simultaneous case of root aphids, root maggots, and fungus gnats for it. Mulching is a great idea, but straw goes outdoors only for me now.
