What should I do with this freaky seedling?

Thanks Roger. Maybe it was meant to be culled. I put down 10 seeds, probably more than I should have for a 4x4 SOG, but I didn't know how many would pop so I was being generous. There's 5 different strains in there so the extra space is probably a good idea, I have no idea what I'm getting...

What should I do with this freaky seedling?

Out of 9 relatively normal looking seedlings, this one blueberry is a freak. I think I may have burned her very early on and she's struggling to recover. Either that or it's some kind of mutant. Am I wasting my time and future tent space with this seedling, should I let it keep going to see...

Having some minor seedling issues and would love some advice/feedback.

Right, thank you. I'll keep looking for something like t5's. In the meantime I'll stick to cfl and try to add a couple more lamps, or look for globes higher than 23w. Btw would you have any idea why my leaves are curling and tacoing?

Having some minor seedling issues and would love some advice/feedback.

@HydoDan I'm not able to get any brighter lights at the moment. I might be able to pick up something in a few days. All I have is a dimmable 600w MH lowest setting 250w, or this chinese blurple. Should I use this to give them some more light in the meantime? The "veg" switch is broken, only red...

Having some minor seedling issues and would love some advice/feedback.

The wavy leaf curling and tacoing is getting worse. Does anyone know why this could be happening? Temps stay between 22C-25C, humidity stays around 60-65%. Very gentle breeze from a fan, not pointed directly at the seedlings. EC was 0.8 and they were yellow/limey, upped to 0.9 with a tiny bit...

Having some minor seedling issues and would love some advice/feedback.

Ok, I'll give them more light. Thank you! I originally had them about 2 inches away from the globes, and a red/bloom only chinese blurple turned on above them a few feet, but thought they were getting light stressed even though they were stretched a bit. The leaves looked funky, curly, skinny...

That's good to hear, the leaf curling and the waviness was getting to me. I still wonder why they might be doing that, I look at other experienced growers here and see seedlings that look lush and perfect, and figured there's something I could be doing better.

Having some minor seedling issues and would love some advice/feedback.

I agree that 0.8-0.9 seems like a lot for this early stage. Some of my nutrient water comes out of the tap @ 0.9 without anything added, So I mix it with low EC spring water and distilled water, which could be one reason why it's so high. I'm not adding much nutrient, the EC would probably be...

Having some minor seedling issues and would love some advice/feedback.

I've been having some difficulty keeping all these seedlings happy. A few days ago, many of them looked quite limey / yellowish, especially the new growth. They had more stretch than I would like. Also some waviness and curling of the leaves. Since then I raised the EC from 0.8 to 0.9, and added...

Plant folliar spray, all natural growth enhancer

This is exactly what I needed to hear today, do you mind if I ask, how much spirulina do you use in a foliar spray?

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

Absolutely no stress, I enjoy going off the track from time to time. Plus I'm learning stuff so it's all g.

An update. Slimy res water, and *mostly* minor seedling issues... But doing alright so far.

Firstly, I am trying to grow in coco coir using Hy-Gen 2 part Coco nutrients https://www.hygen.com.au/product_cat/nutrients/ and additives https://www.hygen.com.au/product_cat/additives/ with my own various additives, most of which I'm not using yet. Exactly one week ago, I germinated with...

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

I've done what @OldMedUser said and added a tiny bit of himalayan pink rock salt to filtered water before, but a remineralisation filter sounds great! Thank you, yes I'm mixing cheap spring water with some of the tap water, and also demineralised water for now. Each have different uses, the...

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

True, I have nothing to complain about really, especially at this early stage when anything I spend on buying water will go a long way. I like the idea of frequent runs to the shop and buying water, way more than losing 3/4 of my total EC to whatever crud they are putting in this tap water...

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

I know what you mean about RO wasting water, I bought one for the fish tank which I no longer have, my friend is borrowing it rn. I used to turn the tap off on the toilet and fill the cystern with the RO waste water. Seeing all that water go down the drain didn't feel right. Thanks, the high EC...

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

0.9 is pretty high, I'm surprised the seedlings didn't get burned. There must be something I'm not getting, I've seen an RO grow coasting along nicely during full flower at EC 1.1.

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

So the high EC from the tap is likely to include decent amounts of cal and mag? That's good news. I might try to find the water report as @hotrodharley suggested. The nutrient line (HY-GEN CocoGrow) doesn't have a calmag additive, there's cal and mag in the base nutes and other additives such as...

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

That's commitment! Buying RO water 5 gal at a time for an entire grow sounds like a bit of a hassle. I certainly don't want to have to buy water until I can feed above 0.9. The meter is fine. It's calibrated and accurate. The tap water really is EC 0.9, I found it hard to believe too but it's...

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

I might have to give them a call and see if they have any distilled water in stock. I want to start feeding them and I cant think of any other way to do that atm without the EC getting too high. It already seems a little too high and I haven't even put anything in. Thanks for the reply. The...

Very high EC tap water, what should I do?

I was about to mix up my first ever nutrient solution for some seedlings, lucky I measured the tap water before I did. pH 7.9 and EC 0.9! Seeing as though I was about to transplant the jiffy pellets into solo cups, pre-fertigate the coco and give them their first feed at EC 0.8 or less, I have...
