    Bull Humus

That's awesome. My wife would kill me if I had a dump truck's worth in our modest back yard :D I'm thinking this stuff paired with Fish Bone Meal, Azomite, and Gypsum can provide a water only soil. Maybe something like: 30% Coco or peat 30% Compost 10% Lava Rock 20% Perlite 10% Bull humus...

    Bull Humus

Oh, I did a search and they have a website: http://www.oregonbull.com/ They say 10% of the mix. Sorry, didn't realize this was a brand. Thought it was literally just bull humus from somewhere in oregon :eyesmoke:

    Bull Humus

Hey guys, my local bulk store offers Oregon Bull Humus. I top dressed my tomatoes with this last year and they got to 8 feet. Was night and day compared to tomatoes that didn't get it. I was curious if you could check out the attached analysis and let me know how to incorporate this into a...

    Bugs - Arachnids - Mites - Infestation

That's scale. I have had it on my lemon trees. Pluck all of them off manually, then spray with neem. Neem on it's own will not kill the mature scale on your plant, you have to physically remove it. Ants will typically be nearby, harvesting the young scale for the sugar sap they release.

    mag deficiency?

Yea 3-4 weeks wasn't meant to be a blanket statement, but I usually topdress with that timeline in mind. For veg I aim for a 5-1-3 ratio with micros covered already in the soil mix. Emulsion does smell like ass. I def wouldn't use it indoors, but outside it's amazing :D

    mag deficiency?

Well There's a bit of misconception on the forums about teas. There's 2 categories: 1. Teas as fertilizer 2. Teas purely for microbiome I pretty much never do #1. I'm essentially giving my plants 0-0-0 so that the microbes can break down whatever amendments I have either on top of or inside...

    mag deficiency?

Ah welcome to organics, it's a blast. One thing that took me a while to understand at first is a top dress takes 3-4 weeks to break down. I have fish emulsion and kelp on hand if I need to fix N or K deficiency immediately. Have you heard of compost tea? It will help break down your dry...

    mag deficiency?

No, I think you're good. Sometimes if you overload one nute you can cause lockouts with others. Most mag deficiencies come in flower after the base soil is pretty depleted. The guy says "Hit them with the monthly foliar last night. As mentioned in the first post of this thread, its the weekly...

    mag deficiency?

Yea not to be an ass, but why are you trying to fix something that wasn't broken? The advice in this thread of giving it MORE of possibly what caused the problems is terrible. FFOF in what looks like a 1 or 2 gal pot should run out of N by 6 weeks. A top dress one week ago isn't long enough...

    mag deficiency?

Did the plants have problems before the 2x weekly Epsom foliar?

Newbie Grower - Flower week 5 - plant problems?

Normal. Your plants are using up nitrogen from lower leaves. It will continue from here, so if you think it's a bit early, give a small amount of nitrogen. Otherwise, enjoy the colors as the grow finishes.

    mag deficiency?

I don't understand, you're already foliar spraying CalMag weekly and the advice is to give it more CalMag? What's your watering schedule? Are the pots fully dry before you water? It honestly looks like a nitrogen deficiency and a problem with how you water. Yellowing moving from the tips...

    Sprouting indoor or outdoor

@ OP is your concern about outdoor while the seeds are young? Do you have access to a mini greenhouse? Seedlings definitely can be started outdoors, it’s just a matter of if your climate is ready when you want to start. If not, go indoor and harden them off to full sun.

Mixing super soil after 10 yr hiatus

Thanks, appreciate the warm welcome. Looking at coot's mix - it does seem simple and cheap. I ran my friend's tab up quite a bit already before remembering to check the latest recipes  Next time I'll make it easier on the wallet. Maybe the best bet is cutting these high P nutes in half...

Mixing super soil after 10 yr hiatus

Hi guys, I used to grow organic with super soil back in 2010 and am finally returning after not growing for years. Stoked to be back here but forgot my old account login :wall:. My friend who usually uses salt nutes asked me to help him with his soil and I'm a bit nervous some of my methods are...
