Blue Dream Santa Cruz cut experts needed

Curious where you picked this up? I have a very thin leaf Blue Dream I got from Santa Cruz Mountain farms. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out, since the last time I ran Blue Dream outdoors, I screwed up. HOWEVER, back in 2017, I picked up a Blue Dream cut from Harborside and I...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Too cold for them bugs huh? Ever see a stem completely covered in aphids? Stuff of nightmares. I use lacewings to control the aphids, perhaps you have a thiving predatory ecosystem? Caterpillars are the last pest standing, I haven't figured out. I'm worried if I use a zapper, the lacewings...

Trinity OG (Santa Cruz Mountain Tops)

Yeah I saw they are an edibles company. The clones are advertised on weedmaps from SCMT with same logo. They currently list pluto kush, gush mints, jealousy, and wedding cake clones in sacramento. So confused why there is no information on them as a nursery, would really like to know what im...

Trinity OG (Santa Cruz Mountain Tops)

Picked up a cut labeled "trinity OG" from "santa cruz mountain tops". I can't really find info on either the cut or the nursery. Can anybody drop some knowledge?

Stop cutting your clone stems at a 45! There's a better way to get a white beard growing.

They look great! For sure from healthy moms. Are the cuttings in contact with the water/hormone before rooting? I like riot plugs, but did a big experiment between those and rockwool and found no difference in rooting efficiency with several different cuts. Sometimes they have a weird mold...

Stop cutting your clone stems at a 45! There's a better way to get a white beard growing.

Of course, that helps. It was still easier near the coast though, because I could easily transition from the dome and I think keeping in the dome leads to fungal disease easier. Here in a dry climate, they are more finicky to transition out of the dome because the ambient humidity is <30%...

Stop cutting your clone stems at a 45! There's a better way to get a white beard growing.

Old post, but to be fair, many people think cloning is easy because they have the right environment naturally that helps the process along. My first time cloning worked 100% and I believe its because I lived near the coast and the humidity and temps were just right. Since I moved to a hotter...

    Project 4516

Looking back, I've popped 3 Project 4516 Bx seeds so far, had 3 FIRE phenos. The flavor and effects are so ooooweeeee. No selection needed...they weren't kidding. Popped many others' seeds along side, some were OK, some were trash. I won't say who they were from, but they were some of your...

    WINTER strains??

I wonder if there are some autos out already that fit the bill? Maybe Auto Frisian Dew? Playing on the anthocyanin cold resistance, maybe Auto Blueberry, or Friesland x Erdpurt? I wouldn't mind starting from scratch if I could pop a lot more seeds, but...Hmm...maybe it would be easy to select...

    WINTER strains??

I think you are 100% right, the biggest issue will be mold...but I'm guessing secondary to cold damage, since the freezing can rupture the tissue and allow mold to infect the plant. When I think of cold resistance, I guess I lumped mold resistance in there, due to this relationship - though I...

Dominion Skunk pheno hunt. Dominion Seed Co. Duke Diamond!

100% valid theory. Skunk smell is one of the quickest smells to become desensitized to IME. I do think there are some serious skunk cultivars around right now. I grew a superglue bagseed and a Project 4516 seed, both made my eyes water while trimming. Also, I couldn't smell anything for the...

    WINTER strains??

Interesting with the blueberry...you may be on to something! This article (among others) talks about the cold tolerance provided by anthocyanin accumulation: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6726734/. It has some blueberry in it...does it purple/blue? Also interesting, from a...

    WINTER strains??

I will say that the wild grasses/weeds start germinating in late sep/oct during the first rains, and continue to grow until they go to seed in late spring when drought starts. A lot of those wild grasses do very well in the climate.

    WINTER strains??

Thanks for the 411! I get just a couple frosts per year that generally only last the morning. Temps below 30F are rare, but occasional. The afternoons can get pretty warm, even in winter. I thought about the light issue, and that could be problematic...perhaps something with semi-auto...

    Freezeland?

I'm looking for frost-tolerant strains to grow in mild norcal winter (couple frosts per year, but sw exposure brings me many warm afternoons throughout fall/winter)....I'm curious about this R2 or any Freis/freezeland stuff...anything you recommend? thank you..

    WINTER strains??

Looking for a strain that actually does well DURING winter COLD, not just flowering early before winter sets in? Friesland has been suggested, does it do well with a few morning frosts? Any other strains? Looking to pop seeds now (Mid-november), veg indoor til ~1 ft, then put outdoors...

    Freezeland?

Anyone know the best friesland or cross (or other strain) that actually does well DURING winter COLD, not just flowering early before winter sets in? Muchas Gracias!

Best outdoor strains that are mold resistant

A late reply here, but longer (but not too long) flowering strains can be good for certain environments. Early strains that are ready before late october here, experience warm moisture in late sep/early oct and cause a lot budrot. On the other hand, strains that are ready in early-mid november...

Is that some old school white widow? I remember some white widow in 2000...I couldn't feel my legs after 2 gravity bong hits.
