I gotta bring this thread back from the dead. I've used stem rub to confirm identity of my keepers after cloning or if I'm unsure I might have mixed them up. I can EASILY tell which of my keepers it is from a simple stem rub. No, stem rubs don't smell exactly like the final flowers...

Yeah, agreed, doesn't seem to be transmissable based on prior reports and progeny express, so seems genetic. It wasn't just the leaf margins, but yeah it was somewhat similar. It didn't show until it was stressed.

I grew Dutch Passion Durban Poison. They were giant, mold-susceptible, low-resin buds on beanstalks. Having said that, the terps were very interesting and pungent. High was very good.

I've never had darkhearts sfv, but I picked up an sfv from harborside a while back, it was tissue culture from CLTVTD...im hoping that's the real if they went through the trouble of tissue culture...would love to try tahoe or tk still.

I've got an "urkle" cut from mendo, will be interesting to compare to the kushmans grape ape. Already I see the kga has MUCH longer internodal spacing than my urkle, but could be hormones from the nursery? Stem rub is similar...what I would call "cigar tobacco" smells on flex.. kinda repulsive...

Did some more searching, several threads on other forums talk about Kushman being the source for grape ape (popped the seed?). Kyle also commented on his forum that Grape Ape is "clone only", so I'm guessing DHN just got a fresher cut of the same, but edited their page to reflect the new cut...

Colloidal silver is junk IMO. Best bet is to try making it fresh at home. My understanding is the shelf life of colloidal silver is very short and it can be difficult to know the concentration of a homemade prep. You may have better luck with STS or try Matt Riot's reversal solution. Good luck.
