Input welcome, old dog new tricks.

Good work mate, glad you caught them.. those blasted Gnats are such a pain. Not as bad with hydro but they can still be a pain with the expanded clay if your not careful.

Im still unsure on this part.. little longer?

Yep no where near ready, and those trichs are still glassy, you go by the bud trichs not the leaf ones. That’s got a good month at least.. but you have to go by the seasons too with outdoors, so too much rain or humidity you have to factor in mould potential. Looks good tho!

My second windowsill grow. Hoping to learn from the mistakes of my first one...

They are looking nice, love the pinky/purple hues showing in some.. but I think they have another 3-4weeks at least before they have swollen properly

Input welcome, old dog new tricks.

I have chopped all the crowns out of here and am going to try and let the smaller stuff fill out a bit more.. Really does look pretty tho.. and smells like a freshly opened bottle of cola.

Input welcome, old dog new tricks.

Coming along nicely.. had power outages for three days which was a worry, will have to buy some generators to futureproof against such things. Another week or two and I’ll flip and Scrog.

What is going on with this?

That’s a good point.. maybe bong chongers peat moss advice is a safe option. 78-80 is fine if you can manage it, but make sure the lights off temps are stable too, cold nights not only stunt but will invite mould later in flower.

What is going on with this?

Yep.. and at risk of sounding like a broken record..increasing humidity will bring your ph down a bit. Your cardinal parameters are light, temp, humidity, EC and Ph.. get them ALL in check excerpt; “In warm, humid environments, soil pH decreases over time in a process called soil acidification...

What is going on with this?

The stems aren’t an issue.. you could hang a wet towel in there to bump humidity on the cheap.. it’s one of your important fundamental parameters and that thing is pulling more nutes than it needs too, hence the slightly darker green leaves and beginnings of tip burn.. but all in all I’d say...

    new leaf growth problems.

Only thing your doing to much of is thinking. They look extremely healthy, the leaves look fine. Make sure you have plenty of airflow with that canopy.

What is going on with this?

Plants look good mate, don’t mess with it too much. your humidity is a little low and the plant will transpire faster; eating through its nutes a bit quicker. Bump humidity up to 65ish, make sure your temps aren’t dropping too much overnight and upgrade your light when you can afford it. Well...

    Training options advice.

Hey buddy, they are some nice healthy looking plants. Too young to be defoliating tho, let ‘em be. If it’s your first grow don’t go too crazy with training everything.. maybe try a few things on one plant, and compare how it goes to the one you leave to its own devices.. learn some pros and cons.

    Harvesting in stages

Interesting point, I was thinking more of letting the undergrowth catch up as it looked underdeveloped compared to the top, I’ll pop some under the scope to see what the trichs are doing.

    Harvesting in stages

I’m giving a two stage harvest a go for the first time, I cut all the top layer off and am letting the bottom go for a while longer to see what happens. For those who like to do it this way, what can I expect? The lighter coloured flower to gain some colour? Buds to firm up a bit more? Would I...
