Upgrading Mars Hydro to QB 288 v2

I'm on day12 of veg with my first grow. Next week I'm replacing my Mars Hydro Pro II Epistar 120 600W (product name, actual wattage is 265W) with a QB 288 v2. The Mars is 18" from the top of my plant today. According to the PAR readings provided by the manufacturer the center of the light is...

    My first Root is Down

Thanks for the advice diggs99 and OldMedUser. She's looking great today, praying towards the light with the two new stems shooting up. The nodes underneath have some new growth as well. Temps back to 66-81, maintained about 77 during the entire time I was with her. RH struggling but about 46%...

    My first Root is Down

Been a few days, here's the latest developments. Day 7 watered a larger ring around the canopy Day8- so here's where I messed up. Day8 she was looking great, and I wanted to top. The picture of her on the shelf in front of the nutrients is before I topped. Unfortunately I was in a rush (before...

Day 6 Flower- WOW she really perked up today! Must be loving the room afforded by the bigger pot. 72-77d 36-41RH Still struggling to keep the humidity at the desired 55%, but I don't think it's important as temperature and fresh air. I do my best to keep it up with the humidifier and keeping...

Diggs99 First grow, Lets talk about it!

You took an already awesome journal and turned it up a notch by doing the recap at this stage. I look forward to your updates. Keep up the good work, taking note to improve my journal. You say you started with a 25% dose at week five (too early) and then later started with a 500ppm etc. What...

    My first Root is Down

Thank you both. I'm so paranoid about overwatering because of the comments in my other thread about the leaves being droopy.

    My first Root is Down

Day 4. Still a bit droopy. The pot was very light, only a faint hint of any moisture two knuckles down, moisture probe at 2. Watered a little around the canopy (not at the base), did not soak the whole pot. Gave a slight misting to the leaves. Moisture meter now at 6, dead center of "moist". pH...

    My first Root is Down

Day 3, she's continuing to perk up. Last night I investigated why my exhaust just didn't seem as strong, found the prefilter was clogged with drywall dust. I don't see how that happened, as after I finished the installation of the exhaust port and electrical outlets the closet was vacuumed...

    Seedling, droopy leaves

I figured out why my leaves were drooping- the roots were drying out. Upon hearing the suggestions made in this thread I didn't water for an extra day or so (even though the cup was very light after three days) and the drooping got much worse. I watered in fairly well with some improvement, and...

    My first Root is Down

Glad to have you along on my first grow! Comments and suggestions welcomed. I've been doing lots of reading here and other places for the past few months but can use all the help I can get. strain: Caramel Kush, 00 seeds, Indica, projected height 27-31" flower about 60 days medium: Fox Farm...

will my seeds get though customs

I wonder what the difference between regular and stealth shipping is with Seedsman. I ordered stealth and it was just a package with the seeds inside. Maybe stealth means it doesn’t say CANNABIS SEEDS FROM SEEDSMAN on the outside. I thought it was going to have the seeds hidden inside an object...

    Seedling, droopy leaves

I have holes in the bottom of the cup. Also, I'm in soil. Someone else brought up Coco in the thread and the discussion went a bit off track from there, but I'm using Fox Farms Oceans Forest. I germinated in a rapid rooter and planted that in the medium. Good point about saturating the medium...

    Seedling, droopy leaves

Thanks jtrizzy and beachwalker. I thought I was doing it right by going by the weight of the cup but I'll focus more on how the plant looks.

    Seedling, droopy leaves

Day 12 since sprout, still a seedling- Evening of day 10 cup was feeling a bit light and the leaves started to look a droopy. I watered pH 6.5 the following morning when the medium dried out a little more. I expected by that evening the leaves would have perked back up but they did not, now it's...

    When does veg begin?

Yes, but mostly I ask for the purposes of documentation in my journal. Feeding is a long ways off, I’m in Fox Farms Oceans Forest soil so four weeks or so.

    When does veg begin?

There are four distinct phases of a plant’s life cycle: germination, seeding, vegetive, and flowering. I know lots of people here start counting veg from sprout, but for my journal I want to differentiate between the four phases. At what point do you consider the seedling stage to be complete...

    Crossing tees and cover windows

I don’t think you want to send warm humid air under the house. That’s going to create a condensation issue and can create a rot or mold problem.
