Every grow is different. I would start at about 18" and move from there. I ran at about 12-14" at first with my CXB3070 lights, but had to raise them up to about 16-18". Everyones situation and plants are different.
I used a PLED P450. I returned it it as it was garbage. Over a 2'x2' area, it would not fill out the buds like they should be. For 278w of actual power, it was really not up to snuff. That thing cost $550 as well!! For $650, I built 2 of my own lights for 400w total and just one over a...
Mine was $325 w/ all parts although prices have come down on some things and also could have done stuff a bit differently. I think $300 is plenty doable for 200w. Considering 200w will probably equal a 400w HPS, its not a bad deal. For a quality HPS setup, it will run you $200 (400w). Now...
Lower buds turned out better than HPS surprisingly, although I still had to toss some in the shake pile. Buds up top are SUPER dense. I actually cut off less this time around and had more weight than with the HPS setup.
AB bin on the CXB's.
A thing of beauty. Critical Kush grown under 400w of CXB3070. Yielded 487g @ 1.21 gram per watt. I really do believe I can up that number as well and I plan to on the next batch. I am running the same strain one more time and will be making a few minor adjustments to the grow. Space is...
Pics will be up tomorrow. Just cut it all down. I am very pleased!!
Completely dry (might gain some weight with humidity packs), stems snapped and cut off, everything trimmed down clean........... Total weight is 488 grams!! That does not include the smokeable trimmings (small buds...
Looks deficient to me. Id give them a boost of nutrients as well as a good dose of Cal-Mag. I had the same issues when I changed to LED (everyone seems to). I gave mine cal-mag every feeding, then just regular nute schedule once per week. Without the cal-mag, they had the same issue. 6...
I live in the desert. To get 60% humidity would take an act of god without some serious money spent. I have never had harshness or quality loss (that I know of) due to drying in 3 days. It may not be fully dry deep inside, but as soon as it goes in the jars to cure, it brings it out and...
I will have dried pics this week! Cut down the crop yesterday and I am optimistic of more than 1g/w right now. The buds are very dense, more so it seems than HPS ever was but we will see once she sheds the water. Drying only takes 3 days so 2 more to go.
He should be fine. I am running 4x CXB3070 @ 36v each but you have to factor in that there will be voltage drop. The HLG185-1400 is rated for 143v but everyone has no issues pushing 4 - CXB3070 that are actually 144v on paper.
It is about 33w per sq ft. General rule is a 1000w for a 4x4 (16 sq ft) which is 62.5w per sq ft. I would try to keep to that as close as possible. Its about 50w/sq ft minimum with HPS.
