LED is directional light source, and HID is diffused light source, in regular commercial lighting application like street lighting, tunnel lighting, people need to test the lux readings at different height and point to compare with traditional HID, that's more realistic talk about the comparison...

Of course not, the total lumens of 320W is around 42000lms, even a 600w full white led light that only output 80000-90000 lms, LED can't beat HID lamp in lumen output comparison, but in efficacy and energy saving, otherwise led is unnecessary to exist on market :)
