Simple answer is no, not really. As long as your soil is properly buffered with lime/oyster shell four/etc and has a solid amount of organic matter I would say it’s not worth bothering with.

Yes I should have mentioned I’m in one of those areas of the west coast. I think a good rule of thumb for soil making is to try to source local inputs as much as possible. It tends to be way cheaper and better for the environment.

I might go with Oyster Shell Flour instead of the lime if you can get your hands on it.

Interesting. What pot size are you using? I find the bigger the better with organic soil if your trying to get some numbers. I end up using 7s because I like having a lot of variety, but if I was looking for more yield I’d bump up to 15s or so. With hydro, it’s a way different story.

Those plants look good to me, I wouldn’t get too caught up with pH in organic unless you are seeing some truly extreme outliers.

I had a nice pheno of CSI Humboldt’s Tri County Purps that had the color and the taste. I prefer the taste over Purple Punch, though it wasn’t quite as pungent. I only popped 3 seeds too, so I’ll definitely be trying more of his gear in the future.
