By soap water I mean wash the cuts before hand on plant ,dish soap ,water room temp revise the the plants well with soap water this will smother eggs ,wash off crawlers , it's easier to treat a rooted clone in no soil than a mom in bad soil

U can sterilize small amounts of soil I,D soap & water them right now ,on plant let dry then cut ,into cloner Watch em , no soil soo the life process ends for bugs , u can then dormant oil them when rooted ,I'd not stress the cuts with overkill
