Begginner planning on using 5x5x80" grow tent

Your plants look very healthy. But, I haven't spotted flowers yet on your plants. I've only been growing on and off for two years (I might not have the trained eye). Are they still transitioning? Also, I was wondering what strains you are growing. Thanks!

DON'T Post Pictures with a HPS or LED on! Please ...turn them OFF for pics!

I used to do that too with some VIVOSUN shades (works great). They have green lenses meant to correct for blurple lights. I upgraded to new light. I no longer need to use grow light glasses for photography, but I sure need them for my eyes now. I've had 15-30 minute spells where I sat my...

    What Nutrients you using?

I'm using the FoxFarm base nutrients for soil and adding molasses personally.

    Why is ut curling?

My guess would be underwatering. Once a week doesn't seem like enough to me, especially when I look at the top layer of your soil.

Someone I know is a big proponent for companion planting like you are talking about. I do think it's something person could get very creative with. However, I personally think it t makes the most sense outdoors, where you are much more likely to encounter pests. Although it depends on the...

    1st grow !! need advice

I haven't really talked with a person who does this until now. But, I am glad it works for you. Do you think some bagged soil mixes have enough moisture content to begin with? I have never personally pre-watered the whole medium like that with the PROMIX I buy. Whether or not it's negatively...

    1st grow !! need advice

That's interesting. I'd have to watch the video to get a feel for what the person is doing. Seedlings don't have established root systems though. So, if we're talking about saturating the whole lot of dirt, I don't see how the seedling could utilize it. I also question whether the risk of...

Hi Dan. For some reason, it did not occur to me that it might not be necessary to attach the drivers to the lamp. That's amazing! I feel better about my purchase now, and will probably rig it up like you suggested tomorrow. I dunno about the deals. I saw a Thread on rollitup last week talking...

How do you deal with fungus gnats?

That's good to know, thanks. They sound pretty hard to get rid of in general.

How do you deal with fungus gnats?

Usually people don't transplant cannabis unless it's time for a bigger pot. But, if I had a gnat problem I might personally consider dumping the soil and transplanting into fresh medium. Of course, that would depend on how far the plant was along.

    1st grow !! need advice

You used the word "soak" to describe how you want to prepare your soil. You might not have meant really saturating the soil (like that word implies to me). But, if you are going to plant your Auto-flower seeds in the final pot (like some advise), I would recommend a very small amount of water at...

    Officially 4 weeks in! Thoughts??

I thought that was the start of a flower in the second picture. But, I could be mistaken. Your plant looks healthy to me! Keep up the good work.

Why does organic soil get better over time?

Fascinating. I always assumed soil has an expiration date and that's that (especially because of the peat). But, I guess if you're replacing the peat, it wouldn't be a problem.

Hey guys, I decided to break down and buy the Mars Hydro TSW 2000W. I know some of you recommended detachable drivers, high quality LEDs, and avoiding this company altogether. But, honestly I liked the way it looked the moment I saw it. I dig the reflective hood, and it seems functional. I was...

I harvested too early with auto-flowers in the past. But, after being burned enough times, I got the minimum flowering time down for this particular strain. That helped give me a ballpark, at least. Thanks for the equipment suggestion. But, I do already own a loupe. You're right - trichs are...

That's how I feel about my experience, too. I find there are many things which can be done different ways. But, there are also some fundamental ways of going about the growing/training processes that always ring true. Thank you very much! That's understandable on the photographs. As for the...

    FIRST GROW DONE

That's a nicely trimmed plant. I think you did good, especially for a first grow. To tell if they're dry enough, I believe you bend a stem. If it simply bends, it's not ready. But, if it snaps a little, it should be ready. You don't want it to break off cleanly (as if it were bone dry), though...

Things are going well, thank you. I did over-water last time unfortunately, and have been dealing with the fallout of that. Though, the leaves seem to be perking back up again. I believe the plant may have topped out at 25 in. / 63.5 cm. height. Normally Wonka Bars finish in 4-6 more weeks. But...

I should probably mention I'm growing for my own personal use. If I had a pound of cannabis on hand, I wouldn't know what to do with it. If I could net 4 ounces however, it would last me 4-8 months. Like I mentioned, I'm upgrading for the next grow. I'd like to give the Wonka Bars 4-6 weeks to...
