New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

The catch all answer for "what is the best light?" is the light with more yield for less wattage than its next most efficient competitor. So if we take a 1000w DE Gavita = 1751umol/s of PAR output. If you're running Cree CXB3590s at 50w then 1751/2.5=700w. Anything between 700w and 1000w of...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

Yup mainly down to umol output. Also known as Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) which is measured in thr number of photons the light emits or Photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF). If you check that table I linked you'll see a magnetic ballast HPS gets about 0.94umol/w while a electronic...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

I guess yeah :) I'd say make yourself familiar with efficiency of different lighting technologies and why certain lights give you more GPW than others. I don't post in the lighting section much but I'm very familiar with pretty much everything out there at the moment lighting technology wise...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

Nothing to laugh at :) That's a very good result for a 400w HPS :) That kit looks good. I was having a good look a few weeks ago. Only bit of advice I'd give you is have it clear in your head why you're upgrading (I need to cut my electricity costs, I want more total yield, I want to keep the...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

This is my first grow... so roughly... er... a few months  I wouldn't consider having all my flower space (2.4x2.4m) as a SOG because watering that many plants would just be a bloody nightmare. I have a full time job! I can barely handle watering 16 pots once a day  I'd consider a...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

I started kitting out my loft with flooring just after Christmas 2015. I intended on having a 1000w grow (25% of capability) started after 5 weeks and having my first crop done by the end of April 2016... Turned out that was too optimistic. It actually took me 4 months to get the loft done and...

    1p LSD

My bad. I thought 1p referred to the price :D 1 tab of nbome can be had in bulk for around 10p so it wasn't such a stretch at 1am. nbomes are also sold as lsd to unwitting buyers which is what I assumed he was talking about. My post doesn't refer to the substance "1p lsd".

    1p LSD

I'm not going to point you at a specific place you could buy LSD but I would suggest looking on Reddit r/DarkNetMarkets for reviews of LSD people have bought on the darknet (such as Trust-In-Us LSD) and going from there. They're available for as little as $1 per tab and are nowhere near as...

    1p LSD

Do them at your peril. These will be an NBOMe substance and not true LSD. What's the problem? LSD is well studied and pretty safe in the longterm. While nobody has ever died from LSD toxicity despite millions of doses having been taken over the years, there have been multiple documented cases...

    5th week small buds?

Those plants look very sativa heavy. They may well take 10-12 weeks to finish. They're doing ok for 5 weeks (IMO). Taking some pics under normal light (turn the HPS off) would help show there are no issues hiding. You can't really see much under yellow light.

    5th week small buds?

    1. Post some pics. Nobody can tell you if your buds are normal or not without seeing them. 2. Consider running your lights at night to keep temps a little more even. I can't tell if you mean you're running lights from 7am-7pm now? 3. Rhizotonic and Cannazym are not needed (IMO). Rhizo helps with...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

Thanks :) I've kept it as close as possible to Hempy's original formula. You can find his original post on MrNice forums in a thread called "The Hempy Bucket". He says he's been perfecting it for around 25 years so why try and reinvent the wheel? So I'm using 20L (5 gallon) buckets. The hole...

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

Mums looking good. They're bursting with tops to clone but it's going to be at least another 2 weeks until I'll be ready to do chop them off. I did some supercropping yesterday just to get the tops out from under the lights... Plants in veg also coming along. This is 4 weeks after...

    light burn or bugs? pictures

Doesn't look like light or heat burn. Looks more like bugs. Can I see a little bit of webbing near the "rotten" bit at the top?

New Loft Grow Room - Input Appreciated

Am paranoid wondering if it's an adult fungus gnat, Have placed a yellow insect trap around the mums to see if anything gets stuck :o Here's a bit of a 30 day flower update... I've started adding PK 13/14 at 0.5ml/L this week with total PPM around 600-650. I'm going to continue for 14 days...

Cree 1000W DE HPS Replacement Reference Design

Earliest I'd be looking to place an order would be late August/early September. I'd happily be part of a group buy or order extra boards for you (or anyone else) if I go ahead. I need to have my current grow finished and my next grow up and running before I touch lighting. I've promised myself...

24 hrs of darkness before flipping to 12/12

I had 2 lots of plants vegging together. I moved them into separate flower areas with the intention of alternating their day/night schedules. One half went straight into 12/12 while the other half got 24 hours of darkness. The 24 hour dark half seem around 3-4 days ahead in flower. These were...

Cree 1000W DE HPS Replacement Reference Design

Asked sinkpad for a quote on 50 units of the 1950 board. "$3.75 ea and the Minimum order is 28 boards" Actually reasonable... the LEDs and drivers are available. Heatsinks can be sorted easily. If the optics are reasonable too then this reference design could be a nice little project. Edit...

    HELP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

That report doesn't tell you anything. But I used it to find the city you live in and think I have found the information you need. Your tap water PPM should be around 350ppm (Only way to be sure would be to test it with a TDS meter yourself.). Ca around 40-50ppm, Mg around 30ppm. As your total...

    HELP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

Your roots look good which is good news. Running DWC in hot weather is risky but you've been lucky. Your room temps are too high but you know that already. Having said that 84 isn't the end of the world if you can't get the temps lower. Your nutes look fine for flowering. What dose/ppm are you...
