I would add thermal insulation between the floor flange and the heat plate. The 4 screws will transfer heat but not as much.

I have been reading a lot about Rosin. Its 1 of the cleanest concentrates any can make very easy. You dont need to process it. I use to make BHO for years. Without spending big bucks for the proper equipment Rosin wins.

You can get great thermal insulation at McMaster Carr. They have many different kinds. I use this 1 to insulate the plates from the press. Max temp 1000f 23$ Fiberglass Fabric Sheet with Plain Backing, 40" Wide x 0.125" Thick x 1 foot.

20 ton is for commercial processing. I know a lot of people using 20T for home use there just not practical for there size. They are cheap I think that's why most get them. 5 tons is plenty of pressure for home use. I have no problem getting 20%. My thoughts on this thread where similar to lets...
