Oh yes is dimmable by potentiometer , but u don't need power supply for it , just 2 core cable in and out from potentiometer , make sure the potentiometer is 0-10 v, any will do

Turn it on for half an hour b4 application , this will heat up the strip making it easier to work with , heat expansion is most common reason for sticky tape fail
