Guide to Nutrient Deficiency or Toxicity

Am I wrong or does your meter say your pH is at the low 5 range?

    Three a Light???

I digress. I will read more and say less :) RM3, either way, great work!

    Three a Light???

RM3. You need to take clones from the same seed to eliminate that potential variable. What he is saying is one offspring (seed) might be a better, faster grower than the other :) Then again it may not be. Only way to really know is to isolate variables. Either way I think you're doing the...

    Three a Light???

And as other's have stated, some genetics respond better or worse to defoliating. Test Test Test :)

    Three a Light???

Bingo! That's why we made our nutrient company different. We are teaching our customers how to change and test different nutrient profiles. This is the next step in grower evolution. As you've stated, no 2 grow rooms have the exact same variables (unless the same grower is controlling them)!

    Three a Light???

But see then again why is this right too? A few plants with enough space...sure I would do limited defoliating. A few larger plants in limited space? This same technique applies to a tent with a single light that is crowded :) I personally feel these guys are going a little too far. I've seen...

    Three a Light???

Hey RM3, I like your side by sides and it proves that defoliating will slow a plant down. That being said, the demonstration in this video is a high yield technique and has been used for years by advanced growers. It is not new but there is an important note to consider... You are doing a...

Not really, no. It's much easier to work with than soil (IMO). Coco is inert (for the most part) and will require nutrient feedings after you've rooted. Very hard to over-water and tons of air for the root structure.

    First timer looking for advice

Make sure to get lots of fresh air exchange. Aim for 70F at night and 78F when the lights are on. I would shoot for 55% RH. Those are my suggestions :)

A plant can grow in these temps....sure. Is it where I would grow mine? No :)

In our experience....better growth, bigger yields. We've had very high resin production out of 55-60% RH as well. But again, this is advice from our experience. What you choose to do is your choice :)

That's where we've seen the best growth over many years in a controlled environment. To each their own though :)

Are you getting any outside (fresh) air?

    Advanced Substitutions

How dialed in is your grow room? I'd prefer to spend money on room upgrades over 10 bottles. Environment is and always will be king.

Hey Jordan, You need to get that humidity up to 50-60% in flowering. That's entirely too low. Your plants will suffer :(

Update on my Tent - Flowering in Progress

You should use the outside air to at least drop your RH during the night cycle. I would personally try to raise your RH a little when the lights are on.

Update on my Tent - Flowering in Progress

Depends on the humidity of the air outside of your grow room. If it's lower, pulling or pushing air into the space will lower your RH.

Update on my Tent - Flowering in Progress

Fingers crossed. Those conditions will affect growth, just so you're aware. We recommend 55% humidity during flowering. Good luck and keep us posted!
