    Tight Buds

Can't agree more I recently went from 4x1000w hps to 4x730w led fixtures and I can already see the difference like 4 weeks into flower. Penetrates through the canopy much better and the environment is much easier to control.

    Tight Buds

For me it was getting enough light to the canopy coupled with keeping temps where they're supposed to be. Heat really turns your shit into larf.

What's your experience with bud washing ?

I've done it both indoors and out, I wouldn't bother if you grow indoors in a sealed room and don't have pest pressure, outside I'm all for it there's a lot of nasty shit on those buds.

    Harvesting soon... trimmer help

I just pay friends in weed to trim it for me, if they suck I don't call them back if they're good they get a free half or oz every couple months. Personally I've just had bad experiences with a couple different trimmers and just prefer to have it done by hand now.

On the verge of giving up!!!!

His other advice isn't much better:wall: And by recipe I just mean people follow "coots mix" or "subcools mix" or just follow the manufacturers recommended ratios at whatever dilution they feel their plants need. It's not like most people build their nutrients from the base raw salts or source...

On the verge of giving up!!!!

I grew drain to waste for years without checking, used the same nutes and after the first 6 months of never having to worry about it I just put them away. Got about 1.5 per light most harvests so I don't think my yields really suffered much. growing either way isn't rocket science, both are...

On the verge of giving up!!!!

It sounds like he's trying to stay mostly organic, I know most of biobizz is water soluble but if he depends on his microbes and gets too much of a drybacl he would absolutely get a yellowing or other deficiency showing up. I recently had covid and my plants in "living soil" with only dry...

    question about defoliation

I wouldn't say that I defoliate anymore but the biggest impact on my yields from this sort of thing was learning the different between a real branch and a sucker, removing suckers will give you better results. stripping your plants to almost nothing hasn't really done much for me, although I...

    Saponins from Quillaja

I water thermx in about twice a month at 1/4tsp per gallon. Never noticed a major impact on my biology, can't really speak too much on it killing nematodes, but my fungus gnats still disappeared after treating with nematodes even though I kept using thermx70.

Question regarding a few buildasoil products

Oh alright I guess I was just remembering wrong. Thanks for clearing it up for me. As a little side note I started using the build-a-bloom this last harvest and it seems to really help with some of the issues I had with slight calcium defiencies I was seeing. I changed a couple of things last...

Question regarding a few buildasoil products

I thought it still had iron from the soy aminos or whatever was in it, they just chose to get iron in a different form than the tm-7, I could be mistaken but I thought that's how Jeremy explained it. Either way I think tm-7 works very well for me so I'm sure the big 6 will work just as well, and...

Question regarding a few buildasoil products

The "Q" powder is just a surfactant like yucca extract, great for wetting new soil or stuff that's gotten overly dry, I try not to overuse it, once a month or so seems to keep my pots draining and wetting really evenly. Em5 I've never used but I've been told you can use both to clean and for...

    WTF are these??

Springtails are 100% beneficial. Theyre decomposers and break down organic matter in your pots.

    Grow-A-Long with Dick

Definitely not, just found a bag with like 100 seeds from late 90s early 2000s that I kept in a box hidden from my parents lol, it's been sitting in the corner of my parents basement for like 20 years now. Some of it's definitely junk seeds but there are almost certainly some nostalgia strains...

    What's your tap water ppm?

Mines around 120ppm last I checked.

    Grow-A-Long with Dick

You have any tricks for old beans? I have some really old bag seed and the germination rates have been terrible every time I try. I've tried using coconut and aloe and all of that type of stuff, roughing with sandpaper, h2o2, even a old ass bottle of some stuff with NAA in it. Germ rates still...

Mr. Canucks.. Soil Vs Coco Coir.. Growing ORGANIC... Why Not!?

Organics with coco works fine, it's really not much different from peat in my experience. I ran out of peat when I was making my 30gallon no till pots and one of them is 1:1:1 Coco/aeration/vermicompost and I've never had any issues with it it needs a bit more water than the other plants but...

    480 or 600w bar led for a 4'x4'?

The upside to running a light at 60-80% and not 100% is that if you get CO2 you can crank out higher ppfd if you want, also running at like 80% means less stress on the diodes and an overall longer fixture life. Personally 600 is the max I'd go in a 4x4, 480 Is probably sufficient for the space...

Do you still drop temps in late flower with led?

Good product has costs associated with it. You wouldn't drive your car without a radiator would you? 600w running 24/7 is like 30 bucks a month, and mines probably only on about 50% of the time. 20-30 bucks a month is worth not having to dump your entire harvest in a trash can

Do you still drop temps in late flower with led?

I dehumidify my entire basement with a 50pint dehumidifier from Amazon, I think it was like 250 bucks definitely recommend looking into something like that, it'll also help heat your room up a little at night probably
