Yes soil! IDK about the hempy bucket, but I know people who did good just starting and finishing in 3gal pot. 12/12 fs is very strain related. Some strains don't get any size. Sativa do well..........rw

A couple of weeks in solo. Up to week 5 from start of seed, usually about time they are sexed! The transplanting cause plants to explode out of the pots to get size!.....rw

I have done 12/12 FS for four year. Part of the way you do it to get size is thru transplanting. Solo cup to 3/4 gal to 1 1/2 to 3 gallon final pot. I don't know about transplanting perlite. I suppose you could just do the whole thing in the two gal hempy. Try it and see! .......rw

Hey Brother! I'm growing in a peat, coco and perlite mix. I use flora nova nutes with a 400w hps. I like 12/12 fs because it easier to run regular seed and stay on a perpetual. I put 12 plants in 3 x 4 box. In a smaller box I have, 2 1/2 x 3, I start my seeds and grow till sexed with a 6 bulb...

Add Dolomite lime and not worry about the Ph. I use peat moss and perlite with mycorrhizae and the lime.....rw Took me too long to post...lol
