The bud is the fruit/flower that bares the seeds, the more 12-12 time it gets, the more it craves the pollen, that craving produces more trichomes in a desprate attempt to catch any passing pollen. That is why sensi is so potent, all trichs and no seeds. ;)

Sorry to disagree with jondamon, that is not cal mag deficiency. You are killing your plants by feeding too heavy. Reduce nutrients NOW! This is a close up of my clone at 6 weeks and 6 days and the second pic is from seed, same flowering time as the first.

This clone is starting week 7 of 12-12, it's in canna coco with A&B nutrients, strain unknown.Some clear, some milky white. I can see an amber trich here and there on top colas with my loupe but could not get a clear pic of one. Not sure when to start flushing but she smells awesome and looks...

Does it really matter? IMO, you can pollinate too late, but not too early. As long as there are buds to pollinate and they are still growing, that's what buds are for really.

That's how I run it, a good grow op needs its own breaker circuit.

Make sure you don't wire those with a flimsy lamp extention chord, you'll start a fire! Get a 12 gauge extention and 14 gauge electric wire. There's like 700W being used there.
