I have an 8" inline fan for exhaust, keeps my 600W air cooled hood cool to the touch, all the air from the tent exits while cooling the bulb. Temp is 20 to 24 celcius and humidity is 45 to 55%. It is my first grow with a 600w and tent, I used to do 150w hps grows in my closet.

I'm hoping to flower 8 weeks at least then flush for 1 week....here she is.

I'm still new to indoor growing and I had never noticed that pistils started turning that fast, I was afraid they would mature to fast when I first saw orange pistils in the 3rd week of 12-12.

Ok, I'm in 4th week and I have pistils turning orange, I thought maybe that would be more around 6th week, i hope to let it go another 4 weeks or more. Those buds need to get bigger, my profile pic is one of them :)

What is too early in 12-12 period for pistils to start turning amber/orange. Just to avoid confusion, I'm not talking about 12-12 from seed here.

to: qwizoking & m3d1c1n3man I get both your points of view, you are just both a little too extremist in your opinions. Yes too much perlite in soil is not good, you will lack nutrients for the roots if all they get is water. Yes you can grow huge plants with just perlite and hydroponic nutes...

My coco hermie seeds gave me a bunch of different plants last grow, I stressed them with heat & light leek and cloned the only one that didn't hermie. This is the oldest clone 3 weeks in...looking yummy.Looks indica and smells sour :)

Short answer, yes if there is no chlorine in your water.

I put EWC, Aquashield and ZHO tea in my DWC, never had root problems since. 1 cup per 3 gallons of DWC water once every 7 to 10 days. I brew fresh tea every time and I give left overs to my other plants in coco coir and soil.

I don't know how experienced of a grower you are, but you might be over watering, you have to let your plants dry out a bit in between watering in soil. If you just transplanted and you know roots don't go all the way down to the bottom of the pot just water enough to get soil wet half way...

Fungus gnats are easily taken care of with little yellow sticky traps from wal-mart (around 5$ for a bunch). But where there are fungus gnats there might be fungus. You might need a beneficial fungi and bacteria treatment, dry your soil first before treating it. You might be over watering and...
