Sweet thx guys. Will add perlite. Do you add water ass you add the perlite to make sure the soil is damp throughout? Or just after the seed is planted do you add a little to the surface

So update, the one survivor seedling of twenty is doing well... Was about to throw away the tray of peat pods that I drown, so last night before bed, squeezed some of them to form a crack I could see down so I could see the dead seeds. Figured fuck it I'll throw them out in the morning and left...

hey just wondering if anyone has any soil suggestions for starting my seedlings I'm in Canada so fox farm products are out of the question. Promix organic is what I have now and I'm just wondering if this looks like it will do the trick or if not point me in the right direction

Hey was looking at this promix potting soil for direct germination... Any thoughts? Or should I be looking at something that is specific to starting seeds?

Yea gonna go with moist potting soil in keg cup next time I think... I think, I'll grab a bag of pro mix today and grab more seeds tomorrow at least I got 1 of 20 to sprout right... If it survived what the other couldn't way I see it, it's gonna be a monster lol keep you posted

As in moist potting soil in small pot or keg cup? Any tips/ suggestions would be greatly appricated, it does sound like a lot less fucking around

so same results planting them in straight in the peat pellets or growing medium? May try that on half of my next attempt

Yea that's what I'll do, keep water to minimal, the one I dug up didn't look rotten or anything so we'll see. Did the exactly the same thing last year with no issues, musta been extra soaked this year. Does a cracked seed typically take less than a week to sprout planted in a peat pellet? And...

Just squeezed them... They were like a wet sponge ffs. Is there a good chance they are all fucked?... Really hoping this wasn't a really expensive learning experience.
