Pretty cool comparison grow you got going. I've never done dwc, I'm a soil grower, to me your soil looks dry on top, with organic soil you want to keep it moist so the micro herd is happy. Good luck with the grow, I'm interested to see how it turns out

Why do you need the 1/2 inch to 8mm? Can't you just run the 1/2 instead of the 8mm? then just punch holes in the 1/2 inch line and push in some 3/32 barbs, that's what I saw people were doing on icmag

Can you reuse those little ones? This big ones I got from sustainable you can take them off and clean the screen and bowl and slap it back on.

The huge blumat thread on icmag had people talking about buying barbs and stuff from another source, you'd have to go search but I def remember it being brought up with sizes and a place to order some barbs I think....was a few years ago when I first got the blumat system so it's a bit purple...

I use Gaia green products, just top dress the all purpose and power bloom in different ratios throughout flower. At start of flower 75/25 all purpose/power bloom sometimes just all purpose, then 50/50 and closer to end of flower 25/75 mostly power bloom

The soil around the carrots, did it have perlite in it? I use straight peat or ewc or a mixture of the two. I've heard chunks of perlite can make the sensor think it needs to water. So I dig a hole fill with peat put in carrot pack and water in heavily.
