Hmm, tough call. Wouldn't hurt to clean and disinfect everything, especially since you have such a small set up. Sometimes though, depending on how bad the root rot is you might just need a little patience. Usually once a guy fixes the issues he was having it still takes the plants a few days...

Are you in a rural location or city? If you're in a city than it's highly unlikely a water issue. What are your water temps like? Air pumps/stones? Light leaks?

I've ordered from ebay several times myself in the past and had no issues. But now when you try to order from ebay, ebay won't let you complete the order. It'll let you add it to your cart, add all your info and etc and then shut you down.
