Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

Thanks, it turned out well for being built with scrap parts. I really hope the word gets out that the drop down ceiling brackets are the perfect heat sink for those strips and conveniently comes in 1', 2', and 4' lengths.

Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

No problem at all. Heat isn't much of an issue at all, if anything I've been fighting to keep temps up. Running at 84% of max with only a wal-mart 6" fan blowing over the light keeps everything cool to touch.

Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

Guess I had a pic of the back of the driver after all, there's a few others as well hope it helps

Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

That looks like the same thing so I'm sure it would be fine, my driver is mounted on top of my heat sinks so I didn't have to do anything to the wires other then hook them up. Once you get putting things together you'll get a better idea of what you need, everyone's setup and needs are...

Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

See above in post #22, taking a pic wouldn't make it any clearer then that drawing. That is exactly how I have it wired. You also need to make sure your setup doesn't exceed the power rating of the drok.

@JavaCo That is one slick looking build! Hope your build goes well @BodhiKarma!

Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

That looks great as well but would you have to take into account the driver efficiency loss?

Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

Yeah that is the exact one I got, check out amazon.ca if you want more reviews of it. If you are wiring in series you might need something that reads a higher voltage though. 100v and 20a is more then enough for a parallel build, but in series you might only use 1.5amps and 300v. Word of...

Multimeter Suggestions and How Do I Measure?

No battery needed, the meter gets it's power through the meanwell driver, there would be a slight reduction in downstream current but it would be so minimal that it would not matter. The meter is accurate and worth every penny. Multimeters work great as well and can be used for many other...

    When to increase lights?

@Glovelove I'm also not a huge fan of getting super technical with things. I just keep that simple chart i posted to stay in the ball park of where rh should be. Higher temps seem to be what i needed. A very strange concept becsause a couple months ago i battled high temps non stop with my hps.

    When to increase lights?

Ive got it running at 190 watts with no complaints now. Having the exhaust fan on seemed to be the problem. Ive been using cal mag since first watering due to growing in coco. Plants always prayed at 23 to 24c with 60% rh. So i figured keeping it there with more light would work. At that temp...

    When to increase lights?

So to summarize: LED's allow for higher temps matched with appropriate humidity and running them cooler causes loss in plant growth. Let me know if I'm missing something here.

    When to increase lights?

I've got this one taped on the inside of my door and just try to stay in the middle of the suggested numbers. I know it's not as precise as some would require but I'm sure it's close enough.

    When to increase lights?

Yeah I'm adding C02 through fermenting 2 1/2 cups sugar in a gallon of water per week with some ec-1118 wine yeast, works pretty damn good. So it looks like attempting to keep the temps lower was my issue. I'll continue to allow the temps to climb while increasing the wattage to see how that works.

    When to increase lights?

Yeah I'm def not deficient in anything plants are real happy and vibrant. So when I crank up the wattage their unhappiness is very noticeable (definitely an environment issue). @RedStoolSample I'm under the impression that raising the light and increasing the wattage has no effect as you need...

    When to increase lights?

My tap water is 120 ppm and I feed 2 tsp/gal of GO cal-mag with every feed. Since they've been showing flowers I've been slowly increasing the bloom mix as well. Plants are super happy until I turn the lights up, I tried leaving them for a week at 180 watts and they just stayed sad and droopy...

    When to increase lights?

I've got 12 x EBgen2 two foot strips in a 3x3 powered by an hlg 320 in parallel. Right now I'm 2 weeks into flower lights, about 12" from canopy, temps stable at around 75f (23-24C) with humidity around 62%. I've got an inline DROK digital power meter between the strips and driver so as I...
