    wet weight to dry weight

Maybe an old thread, but a common question which is what brought me here. Just wet trimmed 940 grams of Skunk Dog, drying it at 45% humidity in a dark room. I'll check again after 24 hours and report here. I'm figuring after 3-4 days I'll end up within a range of 250-300 grams, but we will see!

Aeroponic cloners... are they worth it?

Well, that $100 is kind of an arbitrary, worst case scenario. I've looked a bunch of these cloners online and it seems shipping runs about $30 to Hawaii... so that is why I figure I can make one for less. I think your results are great, and for me, I'd be definitely happy with that. The ambient...

Aeroponic cloners... are they worth it?

I'm contemplating building a DYI cloner and am wondering if it is worth the expense. Although it will only cost about $100 to build, I don't want to build something that may not work all that well. The literature I have read from the commercial makers of these things is that you will get root...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Just bought a quart of it to use "if" the worms invade, which I suspect they will. I have read opinions ranging from stopping its use two weeks before harvest, to using it right up to harvest. Some people rinse their crop in a hydrogen peroxide solution followed by a water dip to clean it, some...

Two plants in one grow bag. 1+1=1 (maybe, lol)

I was wondering the other day if one could plant two seedlings close together (in my case, clones) and have them grow together, kind of like the way two trees would fuse together if left side by side. I'm living in a legal grow state for med card users and have a limit of 10 plants per license...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

I have read that you can us BT right up to harvest, then on the other hand, I've read it is fine to use up to 2 weeks before harvest. I tend to lean on the "up to harvest" a little more because you aren't spraying a chemical per se. I have also read that some people will do a quick hydrogen...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

I think they really only become a big issue once the plants begin to flower. I have a pretty decent sized "garden" and have picked 5 off so far, but mine are just about to begin the second week of flowering. Yesterday I picked two more. With that said, my neighbor who probably has 50 plants in...

    Re-Using ProMix

Yep... that is the same product I'm using. The price ranges from $50 to $65 depending on the store you are in.

Yikes, and I thought Hawaii was bad!

    Re-Using ProMix

Amazing price for that. I'm in Hawaii and a 3.8 cubic foot bale seems to run between $49.99 and $65 depending on which store you are in.

    Re-Using ProMix

Thanks for that, that is what I was thinking of doing. I don't see any reason why one couldn't use it multiple times provided the plants previously grown in it were healthy. Let me ask you, as a first time grower who is also using Greenleaf Mega Crop as well... are you just following their...

    Re-Using ProMix

I have grown veggies and reused potting mix (after refreshing it a little), of this in containers and have gotten 2 years before spreading it out under the trees. At $50 a bale, this would save about $800 that could be put into other aspects of growing, like a veg room light for clones. I'm...

    Question on watering and feeding

At 63, this is my first time growing and now it is time to ask my newbie questions after reading through the posts. I did buy a bag of MC, primarily because I was overwhelmed with choices at the local grow shop. I stumbled across MC while looking at Jack's, and liked the idea of a universal feed...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Just got back from someones medicine grow, he had told me he had a worm invasion so I had to check it out. Evidently they have picked somewhere around 400 of those off their plants over the past three days. This morning while I was there, I found 7, his girlfriend found probably 20 or more, and...

First grow... white spots on leaf margins

Yes, and the plants that get this are both at the front of the greenhouse (open ended greenhouse), and both get direct afternoon sun for 2-3 hours, the plants in the middle and back all lack these spots, and lack the water droplets too.

First grow... white spots on leaf margins

Yes, it is very moist (humid) where I am (Puna, Hawaii). I'm thinking it may be that the plants are just sucking up too much water and expelling the rest along with the nutrients. I don't think it is a disease of any sort as the plants are thriving, green, and happy, they are heading into the...

First grow... white spots on leaf margins

I'm thinking not, but we will see. I posted a pic above this post as to how it starts... with clear water being exuded from the edges of the leaf serrations. This is the only place the white powder is (the white stuff is left behind after the water evaporates), nowhere else on the leaf... only...

First grow... white spots on leaf margins

I am familiar with powdery mildew, and this is not it. This stuff is a dry substance that is left after water droplets disappear, only at the tips of the leaf serrations. Here is a picture taken this morning (I watered and fertilized yesterday) which shows what it looks like. The above pics in...

First grow... white spots on leaf margins

Wondering if this might be a result of over fertilizing as it looks like mineral deposits or something similar. These appeared one day after watering and fertilizing (using Mega Crop), first presenting themselves as a little droplet of water. After the water dried, the deposit was left. I'm...
