purple shit is from leafhoppers i used to get it alot before i covered all the grass with mulch which got rid of the leafhoppers

this year i got rid of all the grass in my garden and put mulch down and I noticed a huge decrease in leaf hoppers and only one or two branches on one plant has gotten the phytoplasma. usually all my plants get it around the whole plant. I really think it is leafhoppers that cause this

Update on my outdoor grow they blew up during stretch been raining all week here in michigan top row left to right is Velvet skies, Slurricane 7, Platinum kush breath Remix bottom row left to right is Jmo, Black cherry punch, and a different pheno Black cherry punch

I thought it was from leaf hoppers as well but only my plants that are directly in the ground have it and not my plants in my fabric pots which makes me think its something in my ground soil but not 100% sure cause i have seen leaf hoppers but not as nearly as much as prior years

I think it has to be something in the dirt since my plant only get it once i plant into the ground how would i go about testing the dirt?

I get this every year for the past 3 years and no one can give me a direct answer to what it is ill get pics of my plants that have this tomorrow buds still grow but leaves end up looking ugly
