Maybe next time try doing a run with some cheap feminised photos, they can put up with a lot more bullshit than autos so you can dial everything in without worrying about the plant going into flower at 8 inches tall and yielding 3.5g dry.

Depends on the price range. In this category the only advantage SF has over MH is better quality housing. They use the same controller, same LED chips, same drivers in most models.

Don't waste your time worrying about it, if a plant is going to throw a colour it will do it if you let it go long enough. Last run I was finishing flower in the middle of summer, temps were at 95-100 some afternoons in the tent, plants still went purple as expected going off their lineage.
