Would Vivosun be a better buy than the Mars FC4800 ?

I'm thinking of going with the FC 4800. I'v just read so much negative about past Mars lights. But recent improvements look much better. So consensus is YES mars Hydro lights are worth the money ?

I was thinking of trying my hand at a little pollen chucking. I don't wan't to take the chance on seeding the rest of my crops, so I was looking for ideas, suggestions on a male isolation chamber. Either pre-made or diy. Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I know it's my choice to dim or not, not the point. My point is, the majority of posts I see regarding LED fixtures, is people are dimming them to a lower the output, I am just curious why ? Back in the day, you bought a 1000w HPS/CMH/MH.... because you wanted 1000w's, why is it not the same...

I'm not going to be using this light for seedlings, clones, mothers, or any other veg at all, ever, I have other dedicated veg tents. I don't see my 4x4 tent getting any bigger. So why not get a light appropriate for my space that I don't need to dim ?

this is what I don't understand, I buy a 600w HPS because I want 600w. Why buy/build a 1000w LED then dim it to 500w ? Why not save upfront $$ and just buy a 500w ? Am i missing something ?

So, 35w psf is a consensus for the sweet spot ? Is a digital power monitor meter what I need to dial in the light ? thanks for the help

so how do I know how far to dimm, so my plants get the most out of the light I'm using ? What do I do to make sure the light runs efficiently & the plants don't suffer ?
