    Continuous PH / EC meters

Im interested in Growee’s automated system. I started to dive into the rabbit hole of Raspberry Pi, pumps, probes and power supplies. When all of a sudden I found this company Growee. I am struggling to get real-world feedback. Not some add, or a potential self-written review. It’s a decent...

    Choosing a rosin press

btw, i highly recommend you buy larger press bags, instead of doing multiple smaller ones at the same time. I have found press bags in all kinds of shapes and sizes. I press with 3x6 plates. so I use 2” wide bags. Get you the biggest width bags that fits on your plates. The pucks themselves keep...

    Choosing a rosin press

Dont press seeds. As i read your posts, you talk a lot about the taste of your rosin. Pressing seeds is the best way to make some rank tasting rosin. lol. I highly recommend you skip the test and do what normal humans do, and de-seed that weed!! Another topic, go get you some 3’ bamboo sticks...

    Choosing a rosin press

Nanners typically mean stress, bad genetics or it’s over-ripe. If you havent had light leaks (stress) or any other substantial environmental changes? It might be past time. A jewelers loupe and some experience with the strain is the only way to be sure when ripe really is. Trichomes are the...

    Choosing a rosin press

Most of my flower presses between 20-30% (after years of growing & squishing). You’ll get there too. When i press my dry sift, i usually get 75-80% returns. Bubble is the same. I get all my dry sift off of my sugar leaf trim… which is why i stopped wet trimming. Fan leaves come off at harvest...

    Choosing a rosin press

Different strains will def produce different yields. As will the size of micron press bags you use, and what temperature you are pressing at. The method you use to press (bag/temp), as well as pressure will all affect yield. And it also affects the consistency. In a dramatic way. The plants...

    Next auto run - decisions…decisions.

Im just getting my feet wet with autos. As with everything, it’s been trial and error. First few didnt turn out well. Mainly because im used to popping seeds in a small white fabric nursery bag, then veg in a 3gal plastic (making it easy slide out), and finish in larger fabric pots. Usually I do...

    Mites & Temps

I recently read a study that some school did about mites, where they concluded that temperatures of 115° for a period of 3 hours was sufficient to kill off 99.9% of adults, juveniles and their eggs. Has anyone attempted to subject their girls to temps like this? Veg and/or flower? And what do...

the 12 on, 5.5 off, 1 on, 5.5 off method, or GLR is real and works great. i see it being called the 12/1 light cycle for veg. see Nebula’s article… https://www.growweedeasy.com/12-1-lighting-method

what about this veg cycle of doing 12 on, 5.5 off, 1 on, 5.5 off? anyone tried it? supposed to be a hack for explosive veg/root production AND saves on power. cant find many people talking about it though

    Does mylar trap heat?

i built a wooden frame & enclosed it with 1/2” styrofoam (or polystyrene?) that has foil lining. it’s easy use. i cut with a box knife, which made for easy exhaust holes. and it gave me some solid structure. the stuff was fairly cheap.

    Does mylar trap heat?

some. but how much? well, that depends. is it going to be airtight? if so, you’d need some air exchange, or supplement co2. and you need fans. which might make thin film flappy & maybe noisy? id consider something like thick landscaping cloth, as an outer layer? tarps? you gain a little...
