you mean to kill them? I have tried dishsoap, SNS203, white thyme oil, straight h2o2, microbe lift .....

That is a 12 inch dish, they are very very tiny half or less than the width of a cardboard match...that's the best i could get with the microscope/iphone combo:-D

I started getting worried because the plants were "pooping out" like maybe there are WAY too many springtails

not sure why they won't zoom, It works for me. I would say they might be a bout 1mm long...they look like pics on the internet of springtail larvae..now it looks like there are thousands in the dirt, but they like to make a small appearance in the dish under the pots....going to try some...

it might just be some H2O2 that i put in the dish to kill em, or right after i watered.....

Yes i tried liquid and I even had some powdered kind, neither worked

i thinks so, they are VERY tiny and jump so fast it's like they disappear

tried microbeLift for months, if anything it made them grow :shock:

Are Springtails good or bad? is there a good amount or is it when there is an way too many that it gets bad? Is there any way to kill them? Do you think they are coming into the grow area from bagged soil or coco?

I definitely think they are coming in from the bags of dirt...... ( or coco mix) that i use as a seed/clone starter

1. Yes there was a SHITLOAD of them, at least hundreds visible in the pots and under. 2. Yes i'm in soil (i think they came in the soil, back in the 90's i remember my soil mix being baked and bug free and then i added organics back to it). 3. I thought the microbe lift might have been expired...

i got em, and microblift didn't do anything to them....
