You need to bypass the unused ports instead of closing them. Just loop tubing to unused ports. I keep seeing people close them instead of bypass loop and it screws the entire valve. Use equal length of tubing on all runs (min 12”) going to plants or it will not flow evenly.

Minor recommendation: don’t close off your manifold outlets, just bypass them with a loop. The velocity, flow, and pressure gets screwed up when you close them instead of bypass loop.

Downsize your pump and buy the lowest dB you can afford. Focus on acoustics rather than skipping a most important quality of life for your plants. You will be more upset with loss in quality than a noise issue that could be resolved with building a small box out of acoustical panels (hint...hint).
