*some areas of Cali I grow in the fog here, budrot is a big problem The best resistance to rot I've ever found was Girl Scout Cookies (forum cut) x Zkittlez. Something about the nugs made it have zero rot while the rest of my garden got rampaged.

Thanks, the two CSI I'm running this year are the Durban Poison FS and MPU 3.5 MPU 3.5 has some nice colors on her. The orange hairs and grape funk remind me of 2007 buying bud from growers that only called it "grapes". 99% sure it was Urkle but must have just been the slang. Great nostalgia...

That seems like the reason he doesn't make breeder claims, which results in little info on flower times. His suggestions were based on clones, so anything "mold-resistant" needs to be taken with a grain of salt. That being said, his crosses are the real deal.

    How close to harvest?

Chop as late as you can withstand it. I've removed half of one of my plants and it's still not done.

    How close to harvest?

Yea bag and chop a bit below the mold. Happens to everyone...and it's time to get paranoid. I'd comb over the plant to check for more.

    Should I chop early

Its a game of how much can you cut out without going insane. Bud rot is going to progress. Pay attention to the acceleration (i.e. every day its 2x worse) then make a judgement call on when to chop. Is yield or quality your preference? I choose quality and remove a lot of colas just to get...

Thats rough. I just got a batch of seeds from CSI Humboldt where I specifically asked for mold resistance. I paid $200 and got 9 packs of 7 seeds of Bubblegum, GSC, Pakistani Chitral Kush, Purple Hindu Kush hybrids that are supposedly super mold resistant. I grow in pure fog (San...

Sorry to hear, rot is rough. There are thousands of people out there like us that are getting rekt by mold on our buds. It's depressing but part of the game right? I just found rot in the biggest, stankiest, prettiest cola in my garden. Bad genetics you paid for, on the other hand, that's...

    How close to harvest?

Inspect them every day and when it shows up, it's time to make decisions on when to chop. Definitely try to keep them going 2+ weeks, it will be worth it.

    How close to harvest?

Yea those have a bit more time. Are you seeing any mold, budrot or powdery mildew? Sometimes the "finish date" when growing outdoors is just when you're cutting out moldy buds to let the plant go as long as possible. Once you have had enough of throwing buds in the trash, it's time to take...

    CSI humboldt thread

Ordered the top two and got hooked up! Caleb is the man. Asked him for suggestions on mold-resistant strains since I grow in coastal fog and he said: "Bubblegum & PHK are some of the most mold resistant clones I’ve run. Patient Zero is mildew resistant as is most PCK hybrids."

    Seed Junkie Genetics

One of the Scotti's Cake turned moldy as f*ck so I chopped it and tossed it. The other one is still alive but I found 2 moldy buds today. The buds are spaced out yet the plants are weak against the elements. Even my Purple Urkle is holding up with no mold and it's nugs are 10x denser. Not...

Is this looking on track going into week 6?

You're fine, that plant doesn't need any N. Its green enough to last til the end.

Loving the fall colors on this Mendo Purple Urkle. She's got a long ways to go til finish, but sure is pretty and smells like grape.

Mendo Purple Urkle 3.5 coming in Smells like grape candy. Praying she can make it for the 5+ more weeks to finish without budrot in my foggy environment.

Is this looking on track going into week 6?

I saw a comment about continuing feeding. I'm cutting off N with 5 weeks left, and going heavier on K. The genetics you're running have nice spacing and your nugs aren't leafy. Keep feeding til the end imo.
