Yep, RDWC. I have 2 rooms in the basement with a 12 bucket system in each. Use one for a veg and the other for flower. Perpetual grow... The low RH in winter was driving me crazy.:wall:
12 in each room right now. Yeah, Panda Paper is something I kept putting off, it would probably have solved the problem, but I have a habit of making sht harder than it needs to be.
I see. I tried the regular room humidifiers and they don't do much because my rooms are so large. So I had to come up with something. I figure for less than $150, I probably wasn't going to find a much better option.
Got rid of the room humidifiers that need refilled every two hours and only raise the RH by 3%. Got a whole house humidifier from Amazon for $130 and hooked up 6" inline fan to it, hooked it up to the water line and put it on an Inkbird RH controller. More RH than you would ever need. Looks...
Thanks for the reply. I run scrubbers with inline fans mounted on top and circulate the room air through those and it kills a lot of smell. I was just wondering if bringing in fresh air and not exhausting any air would screw up the plants somehow, I know lack of c02 will, but (not) exhausting...
May be a dumb question, but, if I have fresh air coming into a 20x25ft room via an intake fan, and I have my ac running, do i have to run an exhaust fan sucking air out? Because it obviously pulls my cold air out.
Thanks for the reply. I just hit it with a dose of calmag. It's ben a few days since I did it, I don't see it on any new growth, it's pretty much on two leaves. Two largest. They seem to be getting a little worse though, just a little, so not sure if it's slowing or not. It's RDWC so it...
Yep. I have cold if I need it, but right now it's all air cooled hoods. that air comes from the room above, it's not pulled from the grow room. So anything in the grow room stays there until I exhaust it out. I don't really like making more than one change at a time, so may try the C02, then try...
It just gets sucked in and right on through. If I let it sit for 15 minutes and then pump it in, the RH is okay and the temps are cooler. It's raining right now, so I am pulling air from another part of the house, my dehumidifier won't pull water fast enough to dry up 90%RH from rain in the air...
I had heat issues on incoming air last summer. I put an AC unit in a smaller room next to the bud room, sucks outside air into that room on one timer, then another timer that pulls that air into the bud room after it's chilled for a while. Only thing I could come up with. Otherwise it was...
I've been writing HID for some reason, meant HPS. You're making me want to grab some LED units. I have to figure out what wattage is equivalent. There must be a formula of some kind to find out what LED wattage would replace 1k HPS, or even 600. Wattage from the wall, not wattage listed on the...
So you've ran entire runs on LED? Buds aren't airy? I've been on the fence about LED since I started growing. I just could never figure out what LED lights would be strong enough to cut through the plants. I see the cheaper LED units on Amazon etc. Thought about maybe one and running a couple...
Yes, glass sucks. Every time I chop em down I wonder what I didn't get due to the glass. I really have no clue how much of a difference we're talking between glass and no glass. But I am sure there is a difference in yield, even if it's minuscule .
Thing is, I'm not pulling the air from inside my rooms, I am pulling fresh air from an upstairs room that's not in use. That's what goes through my lights, then exhausted out the back of the house. I am able to adjust the central air in that spare room in the summer to push cooler air through my...
