Great White users - method of application?

Does anyone grow with Great White Mycorrhizae powder in their DWC set up? If so, I have a few questions: How many tsp per gallon do you use? On the bottle, the chart for hydroponic application says 1tsp to 10 gallons, then proceeds to read *Can be applied using solution mix below (which is...

Experiment with Net Pots - Any opinions so I don't fuck my grow?

What about organic nutrients? Seaweed/kelp that’s often used in DWC applications?

Experiment with Net Pots - Any opinions so I don't fuck my grow?

That sounds very interesting! The idea of creating a hybrid environment is what I’m most inspired to accomplish, especially since I’ll be able to maintain my automated DWC system. I was reading that resistance in the root zone can increase the hormone ‘auxin’ which can lead to more vigorous root...

Experiment with Net Pots - Any opinions so I don't fuck my grow?

I understand. What do you think of the possibility of creating a more hybrid, soil-like environment that still enjoys the benefits of DWC hydroponics? This is what sparks my initial optimism. I hear you that oxygen is important, but I think the roots will have much access to oxygen especially...

Experiment with Net Pots - Any opinions so I don't fuck my grow?

Thanks for the feedback. I think it’s good advice to be considerate of root rot. I’m hoping there’s a way I can implement my idea without running into root rot issues. Roots were healthy last grow. I just want to give them something to cling to. I think that the coir would allow for enough...

Experiment with Net Pots - Any opinions so I don't fuck my grow?

How do you suspect that this would promote stagnant water?

Experiment with Net Pots - Any opinions so I don't fuck my grow?

Hi guys! This is a question about DWC using a traditional single net pot lid and bucket method. I'm starting another grow soon, and I had an idea observing the root structure from last grow. I noticed that when the roots first grew through the net pot, they were strong and thick, like they were...

    Drying 2 autoflowers in a 3x3 at 55% RH

Dude that sounds like such a controlled dry... I like that a lot. Might have to add this trick to my tool kit for next grow :)

Is exhausting/air exchange a requirement during dry?

Gotcha, thanks. Yeah for me my RH is around 56%. Hopefully it's not too low, but the buds seem to be drying faster than I expected.

    Drying 2 autoflowers in a 3x3 at 55% RH

Hey all, I just started drying two autoflower plants after harvesting 3 days ago. The RH has been between 55 and 60 according to my inkbird thermometer, temps around 67F. After just 3 days the buds are pretty crispy; the small stems are not snapping yet but seem very close. I have never dried...

Is exhausting/air exchange a requirement during dry?

I'm wondering if air exchange is important for a dry, or if it is only used as a tool for stabilizing RH and temps. In other words, if the humidity is on the lower side, can one just turn off the exhaust to keep the humidity up? Will this impact aroma/taste if air is not being exchanged...

Harvest Time is guided by trichomes, determined by personal flare

Also come on now, flowers can definitely be referred to as “ripe” - it’s just one of many ways to comment on their maturity. :weed:

Harvest Time is guided by trichomes, determined by personal flare

Yes, I was referring mainly to yellowing and dying leaves. Also colas starting to bend from the weight. Not every grower will run into this, especially if they’re more experienced. I can hopefully avoid some of these things and have my next plant carry on an even longer and healthier life than...

Harvest Time is guided by trichomes, determined by personal flare

In some cases, though the trichomes could continue to produce more amber heads, sometimes the plant may signal its end of life and ripe-most state, in which case it is better off harvested in days time.

Using a DEHUMIDIFIER for drying buds:

These are exactly my thoughts currently. I have my dehumidifier on, I just harvested today. The humidity without it is up to 75%. Did you end up using a dehumidifier?

Do you process leaves that have yellowed due to age? (Hash)

At that point I will have like 0 leaves for trim. They only yellowed recently. I think I’m leaning towards yes since they are sugar leaves.

Do you process leaves that have yellowed due to age? (Hash)

I have quite a few large bud leaves that have yellowed from senescence. Should I wet trim, or dry trim and turn them into hash? Not sure if I should avoid this for yellowed leaves. There are trichomes. What would you do?

    Senescence in week 7?

Hello members! This is my first grow in a grow tent, and it’s been a blast! One of two plants has been showing yellow leaves since week 6 of flower. They are currently approaching week 8 of flower. Overall I believe the plants are moderately healthy, and I’m thinking this is natural senescence...
