I just realized that our first frost average for where I live will be next week'ish. Plants have been in flower for a good bit of time now but I wasn't right ready to harvest. Will frost hurt them any?

That's light right there... see how the whole plant is focused upwards, how the leaves haven't grown out much but continue to pile on each other? Invest in some cheap ass CFL bulbs at 6500k and you'll be grand.

I didn't have time to check his PH, left my kit in the truck and it was dark by the time I got back. I'll check it tomorrow. As for feeding, I don't think he's added anything, far as he's told me it's just been water and soil.

Checked out a couple of my friends plants today, has an odd problem that I haven't seen before. From what I understand these tiny brown spots appeared about five days ago, spread and pretty much have hit all of the lower leaves on his plant. Infected leaves feel very dry, like scratchy/rubbery...

Have you grown on your balcony before? Plants typically need at least 6-8 with 8-10 really where you want be at. Five seems... pretty low... does it have at least some sunlight at other times?

Just a guess, I'm no pro. But think about it... how much light are those lower leaves getting? In all of your pictures they appear to be in heavy shade. As long as the top/side leaves are heavy and thick then you're good to go, those lower leaves aren't going to do much. Don't peel them off...

This is exactly what happened. You've got to ease plants into the sun from inside light. I had some that I moved on a +100 day and within 10 minutes of going out half were drooped over. I had to practically bury the things in tall grasses.

To be honest... I always get some seeds which I can only describe as bum. I can do the exact same thing with those seeds (same light, same water) and they simply don't get that big. They don't die, they're just stunted, grow slow, and annoy the hell out of me. Your plants look like they're just...

Hehe, I just did that same exchange thing with some old florescent tubes :hump: I'll keep things updated and we'll see where I end up I suppose (burned plants, and a room that looks like a bomb went off in it probably). :D

So I read through the tutorial last night and since I've been disgruntled with my florescents (mostly my own fault) I decided to give it a go. I picked up 3x 4 packs of 6500K bulbs and 2x 6 packs of 2700K bulbs- veg and flower respectively. All of them 26 watts- yes I know, kinda lowish...
