i had this same problem, you can raise humidity quite alot very easily by buying eithier at water heater (for aquariums) and pop it in water and turn the temp up, or you can buy a Pond fogger of (ebay or maplin), round £20, put the pond fogger in water and it'll create a mist around the unit...
