Thanx Space Angel, just visiting a friend for some fish sauce and he uses the same water and has no problems, tho he is in pots whilst I am in a trench.Chewed it over with him, he urged caution and said I should cut out the dead and dying leaves and see what happens next ! I do not like that...

Would you think that fish emulsion/oil might do the trick ? Will almost certainly be able to get something that will do what your "MG" did !
